The town was nothing more than a run-down shell of its namesake. Buildings were cracked and eroded if not flat out riddled with large holes, windows were either open and shattered or boarded up, and the near-deserted stone walkways had become mostly dried, lifeless soil with a few pieces of cracked stone loosely resting above.
Children briefly sprinted in and out of view, disappearing as soon as they appeared.
Somehow, though, the Wheel of Wonder and Twilight Wheel were both intact and tended to by some not-so-short dwarves. Though, it's not like they offered anything worthwhile anymore. The children had fun spinning them, though.
The once-glorious Coliseum was now worn and eroded. Cracks had climbed up the walls, the banners were completely gone, a jagged bronze stump was all that was left of the right gladiator statue, and the left one was left standing wearily alone with no right arm. Loud cheering and yells could even be heard from outside as mutants brawled with no holds barred.
As ironic as it was, the Coliseum was the only place where everyone—or at least everyone in the audience—could come together and enjoy themselves without conflict.
Outside that building, however, was a completely different case.
