Michael always wanted to be a wizard. He'd do whatever it took. He practiced his own magic in his bedroom, flipping through old spell books and scribbling things down. ''Michael, just get it over with!'' His friends would say. ''Everyone knows Prodigy is fake!'' No, Michael thought to himself, It has to be real. Why would anyone publish these old books and whatnot? They don't understand. Michael kept his magic to himself until one day...
He got a letter in the mail from... Gale? Michael immediately recognized the name. He was the keeper of the Prodigy Academy. Michael scanned the note and it stated...
Dear, Michael, studied magic...
We are giving you this invitation because of your interest in magic. You practice it a lot, and we are accepting you into Prodigy Land. Don't hesitate! Noot will be there to pick you up tomorrow at 6:00 WN (Wizard Noon)
With great excitement, Gale and the academy.
Michael couldn't believe what he had just read. He excitedly tucked the note in his pocket and started packing all of his things. His wand, clothes, food, books, journals, and his excitement.
I can't believe it. Prodigy is real. It's everything I've ever hoped for, Michael thought, sneaking out of his bedroom window. He thought of his friends' ridiculous laughing, joking about his interest in magic. I'll show you, friends, Michael thought running outside in the torturous rain. I'll prove to them that magic is real. And I'll become the strongest wizard alive.
