Storyline: (note this is alternate history)
Hundreds of years ago the order of influence, hiding underground for many years, attacked and the land of prodigia fell to their control, the empire of influence was proclaimed they then went to take harmony island their first attack failed but eventual with all the fighting they tried again and even though the ancient tried to reset the balance but the order had found it out early about her plan, so they put all of their magic together and placed ten seals on her blocking her magic and sinking the island possibly permanently, the survivors fled to a small forgotten island with the hopes one day the ancient would return and the empire would fall but hope began to fall over the hundreds of years, one survivor know as noot who had been there from the start had recently been elected as president, he has a plan to end the empire for good, but the current emperor (who is a stronger alternate universe puppet master) has a much stronger army and many of the people are not convinced, however some wizards believe that with enough support noot's plan just might work.
You were walking down the academy hallway with your best friend. You guys were going to Wands Class, where if you forget to bring a wand to class, you'll get expelled (don't ask why)
Your friend gasped! He forgot his wand! You look down at your wand. If you give him your wand, your friend will be safe, but if he doesn't have a wand, he'll get in trouble!
So, WWYD? ;)
It had been 200 years since the Prodigy's battle with the Puppetmaster, but the nation of Prodigia was still worse off for wear.
Mutant wizards and monsters roamed the wastes, there were civilizations, but generally no law and order, and the Academy's ruins were sitting in a pool of green ooze.
The place was a shell of its former self. And yet, it seemed to rebuild.
Technology had advanced enough to where people had defenses, they could purify water and soil, and even made vehicles to replace carriages.
But at the end of the day, Prodigia was just a wasteland.
The Academy is silent.
Until it is not.
“Return.”
A loud booming sound suddenly echoes throughout the concrete walls of the looming Academy, students grasping at pillars and screaming with sharp voices as the structure shakes, a bright violet light shining from the Great Hall. The silence is swallowed by the pleading cries of first years and alarmed orders of teachers.
From where the light originated from, a black haired boy watches through a crack in the doorway with wide, dark eyes. Six familiar figures fade from existence, right in front of the keystones that gave them their strength, the island’s beloved Wardens transforming into little white lights and spirits the color of their element, flickering off to their respective areas just as fast as they appeared. The Keystones dim and shudder, and the boy runs away, fear guiding his limbs to an exit.
In the same room, a seventh, darker figure allows themselves a wide, victorious grin.
“Reawaken.”
The floors tilt and the building shakes, the screams of hundreds of wizards rising as the Academy falls, no longer suspended by magic they took for granted. The rocky edges of the floating island slide into place at the crater just underneath, sharp ridges slotting into deep grooves and the ground trembling with the sudden change. From around the island, wizards, merlings, fairies, slimes–anyone that inhabited it could feel the earth quiver and see the large cloud of dust rise from the center, dark clouds slowly circling towards where the Academy once floated proudly.
“Revolt.”
Back in the hall of an Academy long since evacuated, six trainees stare at the empty space their mentors once stood in, horror etched into their faces. They turn to the Keystones, waiting for a power to save everyone, but the circle of gems disappear in a flash, scattered away. The figure turns to them, and they can only shrink back.
Nearby, an Academy Keeper is strewn across a bloodied floor, snapped golden chains and scattered blue dust of what was once an amulet next to his fallen body.
At the edges of the island, a thin violet layer begins to rise.
The barrier goes up.
The world is forever changed.
“Restore.”
____
okay, first and hopefully last attempt at getting back into the rp groove!!
wb:
-gale dead
-storm is puppet
-trainees in hiding and likely separated
--abner, vanessa, and lucas are also probably in hiding but im making that child commit the runaway to find the other children
---greenie is in like, extra hiding because he is warden. must be fun.
-barrier around island stopping magic
-warden kids separated from each other
-people know what magic is and stuff and people can do little sparks/flickers/droplets/sprouts/frosts and it's only been 15 years since the whole thing started so i believe the concept of "wizard" and "element" still exists, it's just not. applicable in any way.
-wardens kids do not know they are wardens. im sure ian will figure it out again tho
-korathius and lillian are pearl's relevant characters and children's link to trainees
-im just going to assign ansat and ben to lane & chase, felix to Lucas, and olivia to samantha. sorry Vivian, you've got an orphaned loner.
plot:
-kids have dreams about each other
-chase becomes a puppet somewhere down the line (save him!!!)
-go on a mission to meet each other (probably happens before the chase rescue so the gang can rescue him as a group)
-learn about trainees from chase who learned through storm and then find those guys through kora n' lillian
-learn about disaster that was the shadow v warden battle
-timekeeper or some kind of timetraveling thing appears!! (somehow)
-warden kids + ansbenfelivia go back in time n' defeat shadow with the ol' wardens.
--we'll make warden characters later because all we have are Florian, Ada, and Anton, with storm n' water being a little bit known and literally nothing on fire.
---im also asking for this because my brain is whirring with the idea of rping with earlier generations in rotw again and having established character would. help. with that. a lot.
-ending. after that sort of giant change their return to the present should be different but idk how we plan on making it different. we'll figure that out if we ever make it to that point tho.
anyways, rp!

i'm in a sillytired lowercase mood rn so you'll have to excuse the unprofessional look.
here are lloyd's notes on the rp, but obviously we might have to change some stuff and plan a couple things because... this isn't enough to go off of when trying to do a rp (as we have clearly seen in ED). plot stuff is in bold. world building normal.
The original RotW cast are 14 or 15 at this time
A derivation of the Shadow element or the Element of Shadow itself has taken over the island
All inhabitants of the island have their magic repressed by a barrier surrounding the island
Chase and Lane have already met each other and grown up together, with Lane still being annoyed by Chase's puns, but still friends
Samantha, Lucas, and Ian haven't met any of the original cast yet
Storm is a puppet, Raid and Cloud are unknown
The trainees have already met each other, but have been forcibly split up
The warden kids start having dreams about each other, yet don't recognize each other's faces.
Reveals that the timeline had been altered in some way by someone, leading to this future
Leads to a mission to meet each other, the original trainees, and fix the timeline
After timeline is fixed, the wardens and trainees living at the time of whatever the most recent canon RP is wake up in the middle of the night following the aforementioned RP and believe it is a dream at first until they realize they all had it and was not.
mnegh. proper capitalization >:((
i ain't undoing all that tho.
okay anyways, planning.

A once heartbroken wizard cradled a small, brown-haired girl, barely over the age of one, walking through Lamplight Town, with two newly crowned grandparents walking besides the man and the toddler. The girl felt overjoyed that day, but a little bit worried. Up until this point, she had only ever really known the adoption center and the caretakers inside.
Growing up, however, she would naturally forget this experience.
A few things stuck with her, though.
That tall blonde-haired man is her grandfather.
The red-haired woman walking next to him is her grandmother.
And the blonde haired man holding her? Well, he’s her father. His name was Lucas.
And he’s just a statue now.
Sobbing, she clung onto the crystal statue that was her father, soon falling into the embrace of her best friend, still incapable of being comforted.
With one hand, Aurora fiddled with a small, translucent, light purple crystal. “Phorite,” the island's scientists called it. The crystal that wreaked havoc on the island almost three years ago. The crystal that had torn lives apart. The crystal that took her father.
Almost three years and she had made no progress in getting him back. Just failure after failure after failure.
Aurora clenched the powerless Phorite crystal in a knuckle-whitening grip.
But she wouldn't give up.
She couldn't.
The sun had just risen when a ship docked at Shipwreck, the exterior of its wooden hull coated in barnacles. Nets of lush seaweed coated in small yellow berries were unloaded by a group of wizards, while crates were carried off by Water Fey, some which were absolutely drenched from a dive on the way to shore.
Light glistened across the gently lapping waves, the pearly white sand being shifted as a passenger stepped off the ship, handing a fey their payment. A black tail flicked behind them as they adjusted their bag, walking along the shoreline until sand changed to yellow, and soon, the sight of a town met their gaze.
A flash of violet occurred in a desolate alley, a figure dressed nearly fully in black stepping out, their sapphire gaze judging. Almost immediately, they were forced to raise their hand to shield their eyes from the light, their sickly pale skin clearly having never seen the light of day. Static crackled in the air around them, before lightning strikes, leaving no scorch marks…or any sign of the figure.
Yellow and blue wings snapped shut as an avian stepped into the forest coverage, the feathers contrasting against the druidic tones of the forest. Their black gaze filled with indifference as they observed the flora, the woodland's magic wisping as they passed through.
Following a distance away was a brown-haired boy, clutching the strap of his bag as he anxiously observed the avian, eyes filled with undeniable curiosity, but movements filled with everlasting anxiety.
An Ivory was dragged to the Coliseum, their amber gaze displaying only resentment as they tried to resist, an unnoticed blade extending from their tail and coming in contact with flash, providing them opening to escape. They wasted no time in running, tail flicking to withdraw the blade as red stained golden fur, arms being brought above their head and yanked down—the momentum snapping chains and causing iron links to clatter to the floor. A commotion soon broke out within the freshly awakened townsfolk as cat-eared battler burst out of the building, a blue gaze filled with elation of the chase, the feline-like figure wasting no time in pursuing the fey.
Meanwhile, the Bounty Hunter sweared as they summoned green essence, healing the stab wound and grumbling about how they have to fix their coat again…and perhaps get a worker’s comp.
On the outskirts of Lamplight, a figure with black-red hair smirked as they watched the manhunt, not even lifting a finger to stop the fugitive fey as they raced by, soon followed by a blue haired girl, her braided hair batted about by the wind. Instead, the darker redhead crouched down, picking up an iron clasp that had clattered to the ground.
After inspecting the black-gray, cool metal drenched with sweat, they nodded to themselves before standing and following the two—much too casually—entertainment evident.
As the three moved far out of sight, a male presenting wizard simply frowned, their blue stare hostile at the sight of the pursuit. They stood at the other side of the street, their icy robes flailing when they abruptly moved out of sight, clearly holding no positive feelings for the ongoing events.
High above the island, within the depths of a school, a series of seven figures expressed varying outlooks of the building’s segregation, but none dared show disapproval.
This was all for the greater good, and it was clearly successful.
Shadow had not shown itself for years.
.
.
.
A wizard–clearly being Academic in nature–clutched a book to their chest, they’re checkered scarf wrapped so the loose ends would drape against their back. Their pure white hair hung down to their waist, their dark skin providing contrast. They looked like any other wizard, really, seeming to just be an Academy student.
But when you meet their gaze…
…a violet stared back.
Astral exists to balance Shadow, but Shadow exists to balance the other five.
Therefore our local demon is planning something ;p
Motives:
Survive and potentially stop the dystopia from getting worse. And maybe find a way to bring back Astral/Celestial magic while you're at it.

A student of the academy sits outside the arena, holding his burnewt. Ask him anything!
Have you ever wondered what it's like to be the bad guy?
A man stood behind a black-haired woman, glaring at her despite his restraints. There was no way, absolutely no way, that he'd work for her.
Ever wondered what it's like to be the one to slaughter hundreds of innocent people, to be the one who tore families apart?
Unmistakably, void magic took hold of the battlefield. Only one person could be responsible - they all knew that - but instead of working against the wizards...
...a deadly mist rolled towards the fey.
To be the one who ruined the lives of children?
A ginger tail lashed as feet pounded against the ground, curse words emitting nearby. A trio of siblings, a blind archer, a small group of fey, and a few teen wizards ran for their lives, stumbling through the underbrush. Eventually, the one at the front stopped, a saturated green streak of hair falling over their eyes.
A desperate, out-of-breath whisper, "Did we...lose them?"
To be the one who tortured orphans?
"No! I won't! Don't make-"
"Don't you dare touch them-"
"GET AWAY FROM THEM YOU B**CH-"
...
A man sunk to his knees at seeing the corpse of a boy - no older than three - strewn in front of a sobbing girl.
He couldn't do this anymore.
You don't want that life.
Trust me.

Just so you know the plot is different and it takes place in the SE:BH universe, so the plot will be kinda different
Darkness.
It squirmed in entropy, waiting for something to change. It felt nothing and everything all at one time.
The light was birthed from the dusk of the darkness. The light was not something it believed to be possible, yet the light stood devilishly on the cusp of creation.
It closed upon itself, unable to bear the pain of the light.
It waited an unimaginable amount of time for the pain to subside. Once it felt the presence of life, it could not bear to be closed any longer.
It looked down upon what had formed in its stead, and it was not pleased.
This was the beginning of the end, as it always had to be.
----
How long had it been since the Corruption had spread?
Weeks. Perhaps months. He had, quite frankly, lost track of time.
Derek Shardwisp gently stroked his photo of him and his friends, at the Academy. Shedding a single tear, Derek placed the photo back on his wall, brandished his machete, his Sword of Earth, and his pistol. Supplies were running low, and even with lots of coaxing and pep talks, Derek still couldn't bring himself to go outside until today. After all, the dilapidated streets were more dangerous than even the deepest depths of Hell, with people willing to kill each other for food. But desperate times called for desperate measures.
Derek looked at his small shelter one last time- and he left the room.
----
"Weird. The streets seem more peaceful than usual," Derek commented. By peaceful, he meant that there weren't as many homicidal maniacs wielding guns and shooting each other in the stomach.
There was a closed store in the distance, which Derek slowly and inconspicuously crept towards, only, much to his dismay, find out that the store was locked.
"Sword of Earth, use Overgrowth!"
Long, snakelike vines crept up onto the glass door before brutally smashing the weak, fragile glass, allowing Derek to enter the old room. There wasn't much food on the shelves- only a few loaves of fresh bread, some apples, a frozen pizza pie and poutine, and a singular slice of cake. Derek quickly pocketed the bread, apples, and the frozen pizza before getting jumped by bandits.
"Aw sh*t, here we go again."
"Give us all the food you have, sucker!" one of the bandits yelled.
"Dude! There's a literal poutine and a literal cake over there on the shelf! Why don't you mind your own business?"
The bandit cocked a pistol in Derek's face before the latter brandished his machete and sliced his hand, in turn sending the hand flying into the shelf. Derek smirked smugly. "I don't seem like that much of a sucker anymore, right?"
"ARGH! GODDAMMIT! JESUS F*CKING CHRIST DON'T JUST STAND THERE GET SOME BANDAGES YOU F*CKING INGRATES!"
Equally stunned, the rest of the bandits ran away (one of them grabbing the poutine) and left the injured guy alone.
"P-please don't k-kill-" Blam. Derek shot him in the head and spilled his brains all over the floor. "Now to search this guy's bag."
You obtained some items!
- Powerful Fire Relic
- Duct Tape
- Gold-Plated Knee Armor
- Ripped Cloth
"Well, looks like I'll be taking this stuff with me."

The only safe place is Crystal Caverns where Aspen Frost sells food, but the only people smart enough to think of that never managed to get there before they were brutally mauled
