Kicking the Iceberg

The collapse of native rule on Prodigy Island began in a sleepy town on the old Matechean Coast, known by them as Nonorra. Two young men, known as Jason and Ezra, would be denied admission into the Matechean Army on grounds of past crimes. Indeed, years earlier, as children, the duo had spent quite a few hours misdirecting travelers for fun, a dire crime in the empire’s legal code.

Regardless, the two instead decided to become sailors.
