Note: This is canon to the Chronicles of the Realms of Prodigia and Soft-Serve Chaos saga, and not canon to the Starry-Eyed, Burning Heart saga.

Let me get this straight: I've just moved to Prodigia, and this is my first day at the Academy. And another thing is that tripping over your own two feet and spilling all of your books over the floor is not a good way to start a school year.

And the worst thing is that pretty much the whole school comes over and starts laughing. And then I start crying, because it's possible that this is the worst start to a new school I've ever had. I just... awkwardly scoop up my books and run away.x

Some of the kids there start laughing at me. I felt my cheeks burning when some kid comes over. "Hey, want some help with your books?" She's looking at my arms, where my textbooks are spilling out like a waterfall. "Sure. What's you name?" "It's Tanner. I'm known for owning a magic lute that lets me fly, but I have yet to see if I'll ever get injured by it."

"I'm Evergreen." I fumbled in my backpack for my map of the school- apparently I was in the same homeroom as him, in the Earth Tower. "That's an interesting name!" Tanner laughed. "Do you, uh, want a lollipop? It's blue raspberry," he added. "Sure! Blue raspberry is one of my favorites! Did you sign up for Art Club? Because I did, and I'm really excited!" Tanner snickered. "Funny you should say that..."

Apart from that fiasco in the morning, the school day wasn't so bad. Math is definitely not my strong suit, though. We played dodgeball in P.E., we learned about Area spells and All-Out Attacks in our Wizardry classes, and learned how to take care of Mandrakes in Botany, which is probably a subject that most other schools don't have. But now- it's time for Art Club!

So I enter the doorway and- WOAH.

The art studio looked so professional. Paintings were hung up against the wall, other kids were painting on canvas, literally every single art supply you would need was in this incredible room.

"Stop staring at the room, Evergreen! Didn't you say you were 'really excited' this morning?" Tanner grabbed me by my arm while I was still looking around. "Don't you want to meet-" Tanner waved his arm around the nearest table- "my friend- wait no they're not there-" he waved again to another table. "-my friends?" Three kids sat at that table, waving eagerly towards me. "Uh, hey!" I nervously replied. "What are your names?" I added.

The kid with red eyes, maple hair, and a black vest ominously started, "Welcome to the Art Club! You may never leave-"

The girl with blue hair cut him off, glaring at the other kid, "Rohan. What did I tell you?"

"What? I was just trying to make an impression on the new kid!"

"You agreed not to scare the newcomers off."

"...you did not come up with that."

The other girl desperately tried to break up the fight. "Sorry, this is... just how they are. I'm Ashley, the red eyes maple hair guy is Rohan ("What? So I'm just a 'red eyes maple hair guy'?" Rohan jokingly muttered, pretending to be insulted) and the girl is Gemini. Welcome to the art club!"

I winced. "Whoo. This will be a long year."

"Hello, everybody! I am your art teacher, Mr. Flare Ramirez, and I'm also the homeroom teacher of... the Fire Tower! So, today, our first lesson will be on making comics! This is the leader of the Art Club, Nova, and her assistant, Jorge. So, what I'm going to do is that I'm gonna go to the photocopying machine to get our copies and stuff..." as the students could see so far, Mr. Flare was quite the scatterbrain, but he had still left a good impression on them as the cool teacher.

"Just wait here," the teacher stammered. "I'll take Jorge with me to the photocopying machine and... photocopy some copies!"

By the time Mr. Flare came back, him and Jorge were carrying a giant stack of paper, much to Nova's dismay. "What the-?! I only asked for 20 copies..."

"What? They're just... extras! You know, just in case-" Mr. Flare tried to come up with an excuse for his error when Jorge cut him off. "Mr. Flare pressed an extra zero, Nova."

"Well, that's beside the point. The point is, we won't need to get any more copies for the next twenty lessons!"
