The Academy Sub-Basement is a separate part of the Academy that populates an entire half of the grounds. It lies below the Academy Archives, and doors are the only way to enter and exit except for teleportation. The world has been placed in so much illusion that normal wizards were unable to step foot into it until after the Order of Influence was defeated.
This area is not accessible until the player rescues the Ancient, completes the first five Academy Towers, and completes necessary quests needed to save Treacherous Taiga.

The area is normally populated with only mice and a few wizards, all living to perform their own studies and research particularly in STEM.
In-Game Description[]
- The location does not appear with the Academy and is hidden as a part of it when clicked on before the player is invited to the Academy by Gale.
- The following is the flavor text that appears when the Academy is accessible, but the Academy Sub-Basement is not:
"A secondary part of the Academy that will not be of use to you yet."
- The following is the flavor text that appears when the area is accessible:
"A sub-basement to the Academy filled with more books than the Archives! It's populated by somewhat-friendly mice that need your help to run the Academy while the Wardens and Gale are fighting the Order."

- The Grand Foyer is the location where players can enter from staircase-lined doors within the Academy Archives, and it is also the spawning room where they return each time when using the Island Map and teleporting back with the Academy Amulet. This location contains a Scroll Stand.

Trivia[]
- In the FourSevensRueful Version, players can use their Academy Amulet to teleport to the Grand Foyer by having both it and the Island Map in their bag.
- It is not a subsection of the Academy itself; rather, it is a separate location that is still accessible from another location like Lamplight Town, the House, and Firefly Forest are connected.
Improving Gameplay[]
Not only will this area produce players with more to the story than just defeating the Order of Influence, it will, alongside other actions such as completing bounties, saving the Ancient, battling Titans, climbing the Dark Tower, taming Mythical Epics, and competing in the Arena, provide more worldbuilding to the Prodigy Universe.
It allows players to explore more parts of the Academy than was already known: the labyrinthine structures mice have used to run the Academy from the bottom of the floating school upward provide players with excellent plot-related challenge.
Math Factor[]
Battles and quests take place here, therefore math questions must be answered correctly to proceed within the story.
