With the end of Prodigy Hacking Extension (PHEx), there are a limited number of players that continue to use what they have to make Prodigy Math more miserable for its other participants on multiplayer servers. Additional measures that can be used to deter hackers and ex-hackers from using what they got by cheating may be helpful in making the game fair for everyone. In the FourSevensRueful Version, they were released in the Game Mechanics Update.
There are several ideas for anti-cheat systems. Since there are no active mods for Prodigy, these do not have code written for them.
Rueful's Arena Anti-Cheat System[]
In the Arena, a player can cheat by doing the following:
- Changing their level or their pets' levels to those above 100, and thereby increasing their hearts and damage capacity
- Change their or their pets' elements
- Deploy Shadow-element Crystal Monsters into battle
- Equip pets and equipment that are not available within the game
- Display Arena statistics on their battle card that do not match what they have in battle
- Pets that have shadow or astral spells
Being able to report a wizard's Arena entry for "hacked levels," "hacked pets," "hacked items," or "hacked Arena entry" may be helpful. All a player would have to do is click on the hacker's battle card, find a red report button with "REPORT" in white text, and then send a report to Prodigy Education. Of course, this should also take up the one daily report, meaning that a player should not be able to report multiple people per day for the sake of not overwhelming Prodigy Education.
More Player Report Buttons[]
A hacker is easily recognizable by any of the following, and should be reported for having any of the following:
- Owning and wearing the Trialmaster's Garb, the only Trialmaster's equipment a player cannot get without being one of the first 1,000 to have played Prodigy
- Wearing any of the unreleased hairstyles
- Having any equipment that was not yet released
- Having more than 5 million Gold
- Having equipment with the description changed to something random, such as Zalgo text or the Bee Movie script
- Having been to Dark Tower floors above Floor 100
- Having more than 13,000 hearts
- Having more than MAX stars
A player should be able to have more report button types available, and they should be able to be more specific. If Prodigy Education finds that a player has been reported for "Hacked Items" when they actually have a hacked hairstyle, they might actually forgive that player. In this case, no hacking is excusable and everyone is therefore forced to wait their turn.
