Ashley Dragoncaster, or just Ashley, is a young adult non-binary wizard and the main protagonist of "The Taken." They formally attended the Academy and were controlled by shadow magic forces before passing away.
Appearance[]
Ash is a wizard of medium height. They have dark fluffy brown hair and dark brown eyes, and are quite skinny, with tan skin. They wear the former academy uniform, consisting of a navy jacket with a breast pocket on the right and the academy's emblem and motto; "Virtues over Magic" sewn in on the left. They also wear plain jeans and a pair of Magi Runners in black even though not considered to be part of the school uniform. They don't wear hats since they think they look dumb.
Personality[]

Ash is an ambivert, a balance between introvertly and extrovertly. They can be a coward sometimes, not exactly "hero" material, but they get the job done. They usually are quite keen on finishing their tasks but can get distracted. They have a bad habit of blaming themselves and say sorry way too much but if they know their in the right they will stand for something they firmly believe in. It is also noted that they are smart, getting good grades in science and math, but have completely flunked magic classes.

Pets[]
Ashley only has one pet, that being a Wispy variant of a Zipzap, which they have named Cirrus. They found him when he was only a Wott, on the border of Shiverchill Mountains and Skywatch, perhaps on the brink of death. Ashley loves Cirrus even when he plays with the light switch at 2 in the morning. After Ash was corrupted, Cirrus was never seen again, possibly escaped into the wild.
Corruption[]
One year before the Prodigy, Ashley sacrificed themselves and removed the corruption from the prime keystone (also known as the astral keystone, even though not technically a warden keystone) but had the shadow magic sucked into them, causing them to be corrupted. They can be considered quite resilient against shadow forces, but just not enough. The shadow magic feeds of their energy, slowly killing them from the inside. There can be considered a cycle of "phases" of corruption that they go through.
Controlled Phase[]
Shadow forces are in complete control. They are almost in this stage all of the time. When controlled, their eyes are duller than usual, and "they" act differently. Usually they do not to "typical evil things" straight away. Shadow magic specialises in manipulation, stay in the dark for a bit and don't cause suspicions to guarantee to get what you want. They act a little too friendly, a little too glad to be here, and you can always determine when they are controlled or not by asking them a question about their childhood life or a secret kept to themselves.
Static Phase[]
Where both Ashley's conscience and shadows corruption are fighting over the physical body. They appear to be in a shock like state and would not interact or move at all.
Unchained Phase[]
When the true Ashley is given control. They act desperate, trying to take up as many seconds as they possibly could before they are controlled again. They usually get emotional in this phase.
