Avane is a character who appears in Forged by Obsidian.
Appearance[]
She is a relatively large Ignios with bright scarlet scales so fine in shape that they look like fur. She has a cream/offwhite stomach and lower jaw. Her thick, dragonlike tail ends with a spade-shaped protrusion like that of a tiefling.
Personality[]
As a small Puck, she was ostracized for her unusual appearance and felt outcast. This fear led to sociophobia and caused her to want to hide from everyone. Her mental state worsened when she became a pet of Crios and Mira Shade, forced to fight in the Dark Tower and reproduce when she could fight no longer. Her abuse did not dictate how she became as a free abult monster after escaping a daycare where she was expected to produce a powerful brood of gargoyle children.
After flying away from her abusers, she learned to be more tough against harsh remarks made about the way she looks. She feels liberated and confident, but she still suffers occasional flashbacks of abuse that cause her to become downcast. Because she restarted her life without money, she pillaged from what other monsters have to make a living for herself illegally, caring not for those she stole from because she perceives her victims as indifferent to her struggles. In a way, she perpetuates abuse without knowing it.

Avane possesses no weapons or gear, but she does have sharp claws and teeth.
Abilities[]
- Fire Magic: She has potent pyrokinesis and Fire combat magic. It wouldn't take her long to burn a small house to a crisp.
- Earth Magic: She learned simple Earth combat magic, but she possesses no mastery over it.
- Ice Magic: She has also learned Ice combat magic without proper training.
- Storm Magic: Avane was able to learn how to wield small amounts of electricity at a time.
- Water Magic: She has some Water combat magic, but a lack of accuracy in spellcasting.
- Engorging: She can eat up to 70% of her body weight in food each day without any bad side effects.
