The Battle Accelerator is a tab in wizard settings in Prodigy Math that allows for different animations to be customized or removed. This feature can be accessed in the gray cog button in the overworld; it is the same interface that allows players to change visual and audio settings. This feature became available in the Game Mechanics Update.
Overview[]
So far, there are plans for several types of battle acceleration, all of which can be turned on or off separately. There is an "Optimize" button that switches every option on so that players do not need to waste time flipping every switch on. By default, all of these options are off.
The following settings can be switched on and off as many times as a player wants:
- Instant Battle: instead of the "!" speech bubble appearing above a monster's head as they crawl towards the player, Prodigy sends the player directly into battle.
- No Attack Animation: Skips all entity attack animations.
- No Spell Animation: Skips all spell and item consumption animation.
- No Battle Entrance Animation: Skips the animations where entities walk into battle.
- No Switch Animation: Skips hopping animations.
- No Battle Exit Animation: Skips the animations where entities leave battle.
- No Ticker Tape: Skips the "Correct!" ticker tape when players answer correctly and skips the "Wizard Battle!," "Boss Battle!," and "Titan Battle!" ticker tapes. Also skips the "You Lost!" or "You Win!" animations.
- No Epic Attack Animation: Skips animation for Epic Attacks, Mythical Epic Attacks, and their spells.
- No Rescue Animation: Skips pet rescue animations.
- Instant Results: Receive stars and (if a Member) Member stars without the animations, skips the Star Jar animation for non-Members. Does not skip Chest opening animation for Members, who still have the option to open the chest of their choice.
These options do not affect other players in PvP; this will increase player wait time for those that have animations off while their opponent has animations.
Improving Gameplay[]
Players frequently complain that animations in Prodigy Math, specifically during battles or when encountering monsters controlled by the Order of Influence, are too slow for their liking. Since more math can be fit into a game with less animation, it may be helpful for players that simply want to speed through the game when farming for items.
Math Factor[]
Players' attention spans are more likely to be stimulated by a faster-paced game and would therefore learn more math.
