Bee Bread is a food within fanon Prodigy.
Appearance[]
A mushy golden brown roll of consistently-moist, cakey "bread." It is seeped in a runny liquid, with the surface made of a crust of congealed nectar. It does not naturally come in rolls, but is taken out by a putty knife that would naturally curl most un-crumbly foods.
In-Game Description[]
In both Prodigy Math and English: "A sticky, safe food high in polysaccharides, pollen, and nectar. It was made in a way that should be hypoallergenic. Eat up!"
Obtainment Methods[]
They can first be obtained in the Underworld where the player enters a cutscene with the Smuggler, who is kind enough to provide them a demonstration of how to harvest the various goods from bee boxes in different stages of colony development. This item is but one of the items that a player can harvest from them and is most commonly found in a box colony's mid-development where the bees condense their pollen and nectar together as an energy food.
Effects[]
The user will have 50% to 75% of their health restored without overhealing. It will not damage the Smuggler, the only NPC that can consume it; the player; or pets. Pets of the Pincer Compatibility Type (see Breeding for compatibility types) will have an additional 5-10% of their maximum health restored with overhealing, but this additional health will not show up on the health bar in battle.
Trivia[]
- When the Smuggler informs the player how bee boxes work, he said this about Bee Bread: "For centuries, mice have kept bees in a similar way that wizard beekeepers do, although your practices evolved separately. However, mice harvest both honey and bee bread and turn them into large loaves. It tastes stale, though."
- Although the flavor text encourages the player's team to eat it, it is not as sweet as initially advertised. Honeycomb is described as much sweeter than Bee Bread.
