The Developer Console is a fanon feature for Prodigy.
Overview[]
There are multiple uses of the Developer Console feature. Upon using the COMMANDS feature of the item of the same name, they can enter commands that change the game either mildly or severely. However, this can only be done in singleplayer so as to prevent the loss of the value of memberships (which has value) and real hacking (which should not have value). While the item can do more than just help its users type commands and change the game, they can also:
- teleport themselves through time and space into:
- Clockwork Town
- The Lost Island
- Barnacle Cove
- The Old Academy (the Quad)
- cast non-simulated unusual spells in battle against wild monsters playing as their wizard
- morph into any furniture item, buddy, or pet for as long as desired
- teleport within an area to pass wild monsters
- multiply gold and stars earnings up to 10 for a battle (the selector goes up to 2 decimal places)
Not only are players able to access all of the features that were present during the times when these features were available (if ever), they can also partially evade the necessity of having a membership for the things that can be easily hacked.
The Console also allows the player and NPCs to cast simulated spells, or spells of a different name and appearance that have the same effects of another spell that is cast magically. Some simulated spells include Divide by Zero and Shut-Eye. Additionally, the Console can sometimes allow an NPC to use console-specific moves, which are not simulated and are usually of the Nonmagical element. The Instigator is one of the best examples of a person that masters Console moves: she has the ability to cast Spell Download, which allows the Instigator to temporarily download a simulated spell to use later; and Battle Terminate, which ends battle without any victory or loss for any party involved.
Improving Gameplay[]
In singleplayer Prodigy Math Game, this feature allows players to visit Clockwork Town and return, as well as allow them to change their game minorly to see members-only features without a free trial. This does not affect and cannot be used in multiplayer (at Home). It also allows them to cast Shadow element spells and spells at different power levels.
Math Factor[]
Each successful use of a command will force the player to rescind (quit using) the command or will make them answer up to five questions, the amount necessary and matching the weight of the command.
- Teleportation into a closed/removed location costs 5 correctly-answered math questions.
- Casting an unusual spell costs 3 correctly-answered math questions.
- Morphing into any furniture, buddy, or pet costs 4 correctly-answered math questions.
- Teleporting away from monsters costs 2 correctly-answered math questions.
- Multiplying gold and star earnings by any value up to 10 costs 1 correctly-answered math question.
