Quests |
The following are separate quests for the different chapters of the game released in the Five Towers Update.
Storm Tower[]
As soon as the player places the Skywatch Keystone, they can enter the Storm Tower at its least level.
Noot: So this is the Skywatch Tower. It looks as though it hasn't undergone operation since the summer.
Theta (telepathically): You're correct. Nothing happened here since I was trapped.
Noot: Oh, hi, Theta! You must be trapped in a bubble in your office, too.
Theta: That's unfortunately true. I can't seem to get out of it no matter how much energy I use.
Noot: Don't fret! We'll retrieve the key from the eighth floor and get you out!
Theta: That's where the key is? Very well then, I trust that you can get it.
Noot: No worries. I have a partner with me that appears adept at climbing towers.
- The player enters the first floor.
Theta: I can sense that you're already on your way. Good luck!
- The player enters the second floor.
Theta: Very good. Your energy is reaching me less easily, so it means that you have ascended.
Theta: If you can climb one, I bet you can climb seven more. Onward!
- The player enters the third floor.
Theta: You're a quarter there already? That's wonderful news.
Theta: Keep going, dear friend!
- The player enters the fourth floor.
Theta: You got three down. That's five more to go. Please persist.
- The player enters the fifth floor.
Theta: Wow, halfway there already! I'm very glad that you have made it that far.
Theta: All you have to do is surge your way through another few battles.
- The player enters the sixth floor.
Theta: Ah, you've ascended to the sixth floor. Three to go!
- 'The player enters the seventh floor.
Theta: Wow, that's three-fourths of the way.
Theta: If the Academy doesn't fall on the way, it shall stand as strong as your will.
- The player enters the eighth floor.
Theta: Wow, the final floor. I hope you like the view--now that there are less Cloud Creators, I bet that it's calmer up here.
Theta: Anyway, find that key and get back to me!
- The player finds the key.
Noot: Great, we got Theta's Office Key! Let's unlock that door and free her!
- The player enters Theta's office.
Theta: Oh, no. It was a trap all along! A portal just opened and summoned a Dark Cloud.
Theta: It looks sentient, so you might as well fight it. For the Academy!
- The player battles the Dark Cloud and wins. The Shadow Bubble pops and frees Theta.
Theta (now non-telepathically): You have my utmost gratitude. I nearly starved to death in here.
Theta: I hope you are able to continue to do what you are doing with the other Wardens.
Theta: If our power is regained, I have high hopes that we can make it.
Theta: While I doubt my abilities, Florian and Ada are as valiant fighters as you are.
Theta: Again, thank you very much for your assistance.
Theta: While it might not be much, can I offer you a strong pet to lead beside you?
- Theta gives the player a level 20 Surjolt.
Theta: That'll do, I guess. Now, fight on and prove the Order wrong!
Fire Tower[]
As soon as the player places the Bonfire Keystone, they can enter the Storm Tower at its least level.
Noot: Welcome to the Fire Tower. It certainly reminds me a lot of Bonfire Spire.
Gaia Fiery (telepathically): That's right! It has all of the fixins!
Noot: Gaia, is that you?
Gaia Fiery: Yes dear, it's me! I'm trapped in a bubble in my office and I have nowhere to go.
Gaia Fiery: I can't even cook in here...ahem. I think I'll need your help.
Noot: That's not a problem! I have a brave wizard who is ready to ascend the eight towers and get the key.
Gaia Fiery: So that's where it is! If you're sure about it, go ahead and get it for me.
Gaia Fiery: If you can unlock the door and work your magic, that would be MONEY.
Gaia Fiery: Do you think you can do that?
Noot: Sure thing. Let's go ahead and ride the bus to flavortown!
- The player enters the first floor.
Gaia Fiery: This invasion of monsters is probably going to make me binge eat. Oh wait...no food in here.
Gaia Fiery: The're ruining the kitchens in there. Dear goodness, no! Hurt them with fire!
- The player enters the second floor.
Gaia Fiery: It seems like you went up a floor. That's off the hook!
Gaia Fiery: Keep going, I need to get out of here!
- The player enters the third floor.
Gaia Fiery: You managed to get up there? Great. You have six floors to go.
- The player enters the fourth floor.
Gaia Fiery: You're nearly half there. That's not half bad!
Gaia Fiery: Remember to be careful. It gets really hot up there.
- The player enters the fifth floor.
Gaia Fiery: Holy hamburgers, you ARE halfway there!
Gaia Fiery: Right on!
- The player enters the sixth floor.
Gaia Fiery: You're unstoppable! I hope you can stay that way for another few floors.
- The player enters the seven floor.
Gaia Fiery: Only two to go. If you can stand the heat, stay in the kitchen. I need you to survive.
- The player enters the eighth floor.
Gaia Fiery: Only one to go. If you're right, the key should be somewhere around here.
Gaia Fiery: I hope this last wave of monsters clears everything out.
- The player finds the key.
Gaia Fiery: Finally! Get back to the office so I can provide you further directions.
- The player enters Gaia Fiery's office.
Noot: We arrived! Oh, crud.
Gaia Fiery: It's Cebollini's cooking creations. They seem to be murkier and aggressive today!
Gaia Fiery: I don't know how they got there, they just appeared through a portal. Fight them!
- The player fights the 3-Course Concoctions and wins. The Shadow Bubble pops and frees Gaia Fiery.
Gaia Fiery (no longer telepathically): You freed me!
Noot: As promised!
Gaia Fiery: I--I can cook again! Thank you so much!
Gaia Fiery: All I can do right now is to give you a pet. Seeing what you do with other pets, this might be helpful to you.
- Gaia Fiery gives the player a level 20 Ignitiguana.
Gaia Fiery: Go on, march on! The battle against the Order carries on, and all I can do is cook and show my support.
Water Tower[]
As soon as the player places the Shipwreck Keystone, they can enter the Storm Tower at its least level.
Noot: This is the Water Tower. He should be in the office and trapped behind a boss, as usual.
Visco (telepathically): Help! Noot, can you hear me?
Noot: Loud and clear, Visco! Let me guess...you're trapped in a bubble in your office and you need to get out.
Visco: Yeah, yeah. I guess this is what happened to the other Wardens, too.
Visco: Tell you what. I'll keep dancing to the beat in my head to keep myself occupied. I bet you know where the key is.
Noot: It's at the eighth floor of the Water Tower. We'll get it.
Visco: Are you sure?
Noot: All the others were up there in their own towers.
Visco: Okay. Well, I'll be waiting. Be careful up there!
- The player enters the first floor.
Visco: Just to let you know, wizard, the towers are overrun with monsters. It won't be easy.
Visco: I still have faith in you. Make it out alive and I'll have your respect. Dance on!
- The player enters the second floor.
Visco: I'm impressed already. Once you start casting spells with a good beat, you'll find it easier.
Visco: Just listen to that battle sequence and make it your rhythm.
- The player enters the third floor.
Visco: A quarter done so soon? Your swiftness is a sign of strength!
- The player enters the fourth floor.
Visco: Keep going. Five floors left, one key to find. I'm not keeping time, wizard!
- The player enters the fifth floor.
Visco: It's time for me to boogie. Think of this as me cheering you on.
Visco: Your battles have meaning. Remember that!
- The player enters the sixth floor.
Visco: Only three to go. I'm counting on you!
- The player enters the seventh floor.
Visco: There's such a high probability of you getting to the top that I don't think my cheering has purpose.
Visco: Anyway, I'm still doing it for good luck.
- The player enters the eighth floor.
Visco: You're on track, now just get the key.
- The player finds the key.
Noot: Visco, we found it!
Visco: Groovy! Now come free me.
- The player enters Visco's office.
Visco: Look what happened! A Shadow Old One came along. No doubt they were sent from the Order.
- The player battles the Shadow Old One and wins. The Shadow Bubble pops and frees Visco.
Visco: Nice work, wizard, Noot. I am grateful to live and dance one more day.
Visco: Here, as a reward, I'll allow you to raise a strong Water pet to help you right those wrongs.
- Visco gives the player a level 20 Watewrasse.
Visco: I hope this helps you. We're in this together.
Wardens' Turmoil[]
This chapter is triggered as soon as players have completed the five towers and took back the Wardens. It is immediate, unskippable, and will be played back upon sign-in and will have no choice but to sit through it if they decided to quit in its middle.
The Wardens, Gale, Noot, and the player meet together by the pedestals, admiring how each one of them is fixed yet agonizing over the fact that they are not fully active. Noot and the player come in from the South side, panting.
Noot (rushed): I'm sorry we're late! We really wanted to make it to this meeting.
Florian: That's alright. We just started! Anyway, how do we fix these pedestals so that they're working again?
Gale: I tried everything, but it seems like we're going to need a lot of elemental energy at once to revive the Keystones.
Ada: I got in contact with Harmony about this, but they're too busy summoning elemental storms to fight off the Order.
Gale: We only have one other option, and we all know who that is.
Theta: Unfortunately for us, we haven't received any messages from her. She's gone for sure.
Gale: Me neither. I really hope she's okay.
Gaia Fiery: There's a part of my mind that thinks we still need to look for her.
Gale: You're right. What do you have to say, Visco?
Visco: I agree. It's time to find her.
Noot: The Astral Warden, that is?
Ada: That's what we meant. Since we can't do anything about it right now, we should recruit some people to fight with us.
Gaia Fiery: Like the Floatlings?
Visco: Yeah, but they need time to settle in Tower Town. How about Treacherous Taiga?
Florian: Oh, yeah! I've heard about it a few days ago. There's this talking Luminex that seems to lead the monsters there.
Theta: That's it! We MUST send someone to Treacherous Taiga to get some monsters back to our side.
Gale: It's settled, then--wizard, we have another quest for you.
Noot: Are you asking us to sail to Treacherous Taiga and talk to this Luminex?
Gale: Yes.
Ada: Will you do it?
Noot: Of course!
Theta: Thank you so much. We've got an old map of it to add to your Island Map. It should allow you to set sail soon.
Noot: Goodbye! I'm sure that we'll find some monsters to help battle the Order of Influence.
