Future Mythical Epics is a fanon theory about Prodigy Math first developed by FourSevensRueful. It discusses all of the possible names, powers, and abilities of potential future Mythical Epics.
Dictionary[]
- Mythical Epic—one of the Prodigy Math epics that Prodigy Education released after the dragon epics line. These epics first appeared with the smooth Raster art style.
- V1 Mythical Epic—one of the original nine Mythical Epics to be released into Prodigy Math's game CDN with each representing one of the nine Original Epics which were released as either the true original (elemental) epics or the dragon epics.
- V2 Mythical Epic—one of the Mythical Epics that are not considered V1 Mythical Epics. They could be further subdivided into any of the following:
- Reskin Mythical Epic—a V2 Mythical Epic with the same statistics and spell learnsets as a V1 Mythical Epic and retain a similar name and appearance to their inspired V1 Mythical Epic. They retain the same Epic Attack as their V1 Mythical Epic and Original Epic variants.
- Re-Element Mythical Epic—a V2 Mythical Epic with the same statistics as a V1 Mythical Epic except their element, appearance, and spell learnset is different. They have a different Epic Attack than their V1 Mythical Epic and Original Epic, but the name of the spell relies on the same theme.
- Unique (Initial) Mythical Epic—a V2 Mythical Epic with a completely unique name, appearance, and Epic Attack from any former Mythical Epic. Some but not all Unique (Initial) Mythical Epics retain the same exact statistics and spell learnsets as other Epics, but they have different aesthetic value.
- Unique (Re-Element) Mythical Epic—a V2 Mythical Epic that was released after its Unique (Initial) Mythical Epic variant and is a different-element variant of that species.
Overview[]
Within the second half of 2022, Prodigy Education began to release V2 Mythical Epics of the four non-canon categories (see above), with the first being Bluefury Magmayhem. Bluefury Magmayhem's release to the CDN of Prodigy Math caused a noticeable upset in the game community that resulted in the developers receiving criticism from notable competitive players and the game's paid patrons, their members. Bluefury Magmayhem falls under the Reskin Mythical Epic category, having no unique competitive nature to contribute to the game.
Since then, Prodigy Education generated no other reskins, but they also released Re-Element Mythical Epics such as Solar (the Fire counterpart of Nebula), Barkbarian (the Earth counterpart of Arcturion), Pyrodile (the Fire counterpart of Aquadile), and Hydroid (the Water counterpart of Blast Star. It also released three Unique (Initial) Mythical Epics, the Earth beast Gryphroom, the Ice creature Glimmerwing, and the Storm arthropod Buzzra. Unique Mythical Epics tend to have better reception in the community than the other types of V2 Mythical Epics. There are also upcoming differently-elemented versions of Unique (Initial) Mythical Epics, such as the unreleased Water variant of Gryphroom, but none of them are published pets in the game.
Prodigy English does not appear to be slowing with its promised monthly releases of new species of Mythical Epics, so it is likely that more V2 Mythical Epics will appear in the near future. However, can we predict what Prodigy Education might release in the future?
Possible Reskin Epics[]
Prodigy Education likely learned from the incident with Bluefury Magmayhem's release, however they will likely reuse this idea to "milk the cash cow" again once player churn increases with the release of other controversial updates. The following names, lore, and quest items will likely be related to their new recolor. NOTE: The following are just examples of what Prodigy might include and are not intended to be exactly accurate predictions for future releases.
V1 Epic | V2 Epic | Description | Quest Items |
---|---|---|---|
Blast Star | Blast Barrier | Something about a heavy, study automaton that is said to be the greatest of the first Storm Warden's sentient constructs that has great machine assembly capabilities. | Welding Torch Rusty Toolbox Lightning Cable |
Vegabloom | Gardener Vegabloom | Something about this more dirty-colored Vegabloom being in greater connection with the deep forest, having more obscure connection with the rarest species of flowering plants. | Creeper Blooms Glowing Iris Woven Hat |

Shiver & Scorch | Freeze & Furnace | Something about the pair's unity, cooperation, or lack thereof. This variant might play off of what would happen if conjoined twin dragons don't work well together. | Get-Along Shirt Double Spiked Collars Two-Ox Yolk |
Riptide | Deeptide | Something about this type of Riptide being more likely to surface from the bottom of the ocean during clear weather because it's used to the crushing pressure of the depths. | Footballfish Drifting Buoy Glass Sponge |

Possible Unique Epics[]
Prodigy released two Unique Mythical Epics, so it's likely that they'll release even more in the future. They receive the greatest praise and popularity prior to their official release into the game out of all Mythical Epics, so Prodigy will likely tease a few more out of their creative brains over the years.
Based on the appearance and lore of Gryphroom, Glimmerwing, and Buzzra, these unique epics will likely be of a body plan not seen before in other pets. They likely have their own strong personalities that are different from the other epics and have quest items of similar themes and icon appearances to other Mythical Epics. Additionally, future unique epics might be released according to Prodigy's classic elemental order: Earth, Ice, Storm, Fire, and Water. Gryphroom was released before Glimmerwing and Buzzra, completing the Earth, Ice, and Storm stages of the aforementioned order.
