House Defense is a feature in Prodigy. Even though your house may seem safe, some monsters may breach the defense of your door and break in. Here are a few tips to protect your house.
This is inspired by Terraria's house defense strategies.
Basic Traps[]
One-Way Entrance[]
Placing furniture (e.g. a simple 2x1 chair) near a door on the outside will not allow monsters to access it from the outside. However, wizards can still manage to open it.
Suspended Door[]
Placing the door above the ground or digging a small pit in front of the door will not allow monsters to open it. Wizards can still manage to open it.
Suspended House[]
Building your house above ground or purchasing the Treehouse, Tree Fort and Treetop Terrace from Mozza Ella will prevent all enemies from accessing your house.
However, if you create a custom house completely above ground, no one can access your house except you.
Pit[]
Digging a pit in front of your house will trap all monsters that try to enter.
Advanced Strategies[]
There are ways to keep a base locked down tighter than a prison. Make only two entrances to the house (via door) on either side. Depending on whether or not the player makes advanced defenses, they can leave these doors open.
Sniper Tower[]
Building a motion sensor or observer connected to a dispenser will fire arrows or projectiles at any enemy inbound. Each turret should preferably be made out of stone.
Enemy Harvest[]
This trick allows you to harvest resources while killing monsters.
Activate Moat[]
This trick allows you to detect when an enemy falls into a pit, which signals a dispenser to pour out water, acid or lava.
Activate Lava Shower[]
Activate Boulder Roll-out[]
To create this trap, you'll need to have ramps, motion sensors and dispensers. Dropping the boulders from a great height is not necessarily advantageous, as you want to maximize the time the giant rocks spend bouncing near the ground to damage groups of enemies. Instead, embed the traps in the ground and hammer them twice so they roll out the rocks more gently.
