This is a guide for Level 100 players of Prodigy - how to effectively compete in the Harmony Island arena. This guide is mainly directed towards level 100 wizards, so anytime "the player" is mentioned, it refers to the reader.
Dictionary[]
HB - My abbreviation for Heart Bonus.
DR - My abbreviation for Damage Reduction.
The Harmony Island Arena[]
The new Harmony Island Arena is accessible both in Lamplight Town and Harmony Island. Many mysteries still remain about this arena due to its novelty and absence of lore. The first and only known season, "Arc of Light," refers to and serves as an extension of Pride Month. Arc of Light rewards frequently contain LGBTQIA+ flag coloration: fruit smoothies, buddies, equipment, and furniture often contain vivid colors.
Arena Difficulties Due to Level[]
Although players who reach level 100 tend to be the most advantaged in other areas of the game, the same is not true for the arena. Algorithms arrange players with opponents at their level or higher in Silver and Gold tiers. Wizards of less level-difference earn minimal trophies (15), while those that battle higher-level wizards earn more trophies (max. 27). Many high-level wizards have the strongest runes available. Opponents with HB and DR runes equipped are not favorable opponents because a combination of the use of these runes as well as their ability to use Team Damage Bonus and Tiered Cake may render the player vulnerable to being defeated.
Strategies[]
Opponents to Avoid[]
- Those with multiple high-tier HB and DR runes equipped--when they use food, it wastes time that can be spent on other opponents.
- Those with pets that have high natural HB if provided high-tier HB and DR runes--the most dangerous are from the Aracute, Saplette, and Cloud Nibbler lines as well as Eclipse and Shivertusk. These pets are referred to as "tanks."
- Those with pets that have exceptional power levels if provided with high-tier Damage runes OR Critical Chance and Critical Damage runes--the most dangerous are from the Bitbot, Pokkit, and Terromite lines as well as Applepot, Sprike, and Magmischief. These pets are referred to as "sweepers" or "high-damage pets."
Opponents to Battle[]
- Battle currently-inactive wizards with less pets and those that have low HB or DR. Their consumption of food would be ineffective and do little to preserve health.
- Battle wizards with less runes or runes of low tiers. These runes are less powerful, so it is also advised to get higher-tier runes before choosing to battle these types of wizards.
- If there are no options to battle opponents that can be defeated quickly, use the Shuffle option to replace the available opponents--they may be less capable of withstanding the player's technique.
"Battle" and "Idle" Mode[]
Opponents battle the AI of players in the arena, not their opponents themselves. To prevent loss of trophies, appear as a wizard that is undesirable for battle when not actually in the arena--enter "Idle" Mode. Remember to do this when logging off for long periods of time or when logging off in general.
- Move the wizard to the upper position (the top position that gets used second in arena battles) by switching their place with the pet that is currently in that position in the Pet Collection. Replace the front position with a high-level tank. Replace the lower position with another high-level tank of a different species or element altogether.
- Players should first fix their Loadout A, the one that appears when an opponent is given the ability to challenge a player, to have the highest-tier HB and DR runes available and appropriate their positions to the desirable positions for each entity on the team. Icons for pets and wizards are shown to help players know which runes are equipped to which entity.
- Players should equip themselves with the highest-tier HB and DR runes as well. Replace runes with those of a different type, even if they are lower-tier, if they provide more benefits. Players understand this meta and would most likely steer clear of opponents using this strategy even if it looks harmless.
- Players should open their bag and equip themselves with three pieces of equipment all having at least an 8-heart bonus and a wand with, preferably, 20 damage bonus AND either an attached Storm- or Fire-element spell. Prevent using poor-damage spells by equipping the strongest non-Ancient Relics possible, preferably the Tier 3 Fire Relic.
- They should have the greatest available energy for arena battle, so they should go to an area and increase their energy to 10 (the maximum) without losing it to Area Spells or All-Out Attacks. Afterwards, return to Lamplight Town.
The player may log off and not endure too much worry of losing trophies. However, when preparing to battle, consider switching to a more active, damage-focused or critical-and-damage loadout called the "Battle" Mode.
- Keep the wizard in the upper position and place different-element sweeper pets in the front and bottom positions.
- Players should equip Loadout B or C with a full set of nine highest-tier damage runes, 1-2 highest-tier critical chance runes and 1-2 highest-tier critical damage rune, or any preferable combination of the best runes for each entity in the immediate team. Remember to use this loadout for each battle and switch back to Loadout A when not in the arena.
- Players should equip themselves with an Ice Dragon Tooth Crown, an outfit and pair of boots that provide at least 8-heart bonus each, and a spell-carrying wand with 20 damage bonus. Equip a Tier 3 Relic of the preferred element to the player.
- Between arena battles, players should accumulate a maximum 10 energy by battling mind-controlled entities outside of PvP, Crystal Caverns, Harmony Island Rune Runs, or the Epics Subspace.
- Remember to enter "Idle" Mode when no longer using the arena.
Good luck!
