Infuser is a fanon interactive item for Prodigy.
Overview[]
One Infuser exists in the FourSevensRueful Version in the Nesting Grounds, specifically within The Creature Wellness Shop. It appears like a large cryogenic cylinder with a large circular base and a matching top, connected to the floor and ceiling of the room, respectively. Infusion of a pet occurs with Research Points so as to improve the abilities in an element. Oftentimes, sacrificing several hundred Research Points to evolve a pet changes the evolution line's power-to-health ratio and decreases the level at which spells evolve.
To gain the trust of a pet that the player wants to evolve, they must reach a 90% or higher percentage of Loyalty. If the player tries to operate the Infuser after closing their pet in the glass doors, the pet will jump about frantically. Noot will state "I don't think you should evolve your [monster species name] yet." The pet will immediately lose 5% absolute Loyalty, if any is present. If the pet is loyal enough to evolve, it will stir very slightly behind the doors, flashing several times to evolve. Noot will, in the meantime, not exit the player's bag, as with other successful evolutions.
Pet | Previous Pet | Research Points Needed | Pet Stage |
---|---|---|---|
Ampereshed | Eftorch | 1000 Fire Research Points (to have been an Eftorch), 3000 Storm Research Points | 4 |
Eftorch | Singenewt | 1000 Fire Research Points | 3 |
Stygemander | Eftorch | 1000 Fire Research Points (to have been an Eftorch) | 4 |
Improving Gameplay[]
It allows players to evolve their pets with some level of freedom and without the need for battle. This is one of the many ways where Alternative Evolution Methods are present, and this often allows for Forked Evolution between pets that evolve from leveling up after battle and those that can be infused.
Math Factor[]
To obtain the Research Points and Loyalty needed to evolve the desired pet, players must correctly answer math questions, despite the process of infusion requiring no math.
Trivia[]
- The process of infusion was influenced by the events in the official music videos of Skan's Lost album, minus the violent nature of the videos.
- The process is also inspired by medical simulators, where medical professionals-to-be administer medication to frozen specimens or sleeping patients.
