Part 1: The Darkness Arrives[]
Chapter 1: Dreams[]
Harper laid on the solid cave rock, hardly able to sleep. This was what was bad about the wizard tribe of Crystal. They slept on the cave floor, and they lived in caves. She wanted to go outside. But she knew how. She had a power to morph into a Firefly. Harper morphed into one, and took off outside. Then she stopped, looking at my aunt, Mira, in the eye. Something was behind her. A dark spirit appeared behind Mira and trapped her in a dark purple dome. Harper morphed out of her Firefly form, and banged on the dome. "Mira! Mira, are you okay?" She shouted. She was powerless to do anything. Then, the dome disappeared and Mira disappeared along with all the tribe members. Harper shot up out of bed.
Harper: "It was all a dream...." I muttered. "Or...was it?" I rushed out of the cave, not caring if my Tribe Members saw me. Then Mira hovered next to me. "Good Morning!" she said. “What has got you out of bed so quickly?" she asked. "Ermm, nothing. Just felt like it," I murmured. Then someone stepped out from behind Mira. I jumped, startled. “Don't be alarmed Harper. This is Zane Goldencaster. I met him at the top of the dark tower recently." "Hey," the boy said. "Hmm. He looks...decent for an outsider," I didn't trust him, as I was trained to not trust anybody from outside the tribe.
Chapter 2: Devastation[]
“Oh nonononono! I should have been here! Protected them more! Anything!" Florian shouted.
Rose: "Father? Lily?" I looked around what was once her Tribe's Village. I fell to my knees. I was sad, but too angry to cry. I screamed with fury. The Crystal Tribe had taken everything from me. Just then, she saw it. A fairy. Fairies were quite common in the forest. "Hello little one." I didn't respond. "Come little one, you will be safe here." he said and lead me to the forest. “Wait,” the fairy stopped, “Rose? Is that you?” “Florian?” I asked. “I can’t believe it! It really is you!” Florian exclaimed.
3 years later…
Rose: "Hello?" I called. No response. I slowly crept into the bushes. "Ow..." it said. I slowly separated the bushes to see an injured Crystal Tribe girl. "What... are... you... doing here?" I said cautiously. I spun my sword around and pointed it at the girl. "What do you want from me?" I said as she took a step back. The girl let out a cry of pain as she tried to move. "Please. Help," she croaked. Then she went limp.
Chapter 3: Disassemble[]
Harper: The Crystal Tribe leader says we may have to disband, as most of our members have left to the Resurrection Tribe. The leader says if one more person leaves, then the tribe will have to disband.
3 years from then....
The Crystal Tribe has disbanded, and the members are living their worst life. Harper found herself pinned by a Spirit Tribe girl. "I...i just need help...ever since the tribe disbanded, I've been suffering, and so have the other members. Please...don't kill me..." she plead.
Chapter 4: Possession[]
Zane: I had already left the Crystal Tribe’s territory after Mira invited me over three years ago. After 2 hours of wandering, I saw a rock with weird symbols on them. I poked one and a rock shifts to the side. Then, a dark figure with no distinguishable features appeared and muttered, “Hello foolish wizard.” “What are you?” I asked. “How about we work together? Hmm?” the figure asked. “I...I prefer to work alone,” I replied. “Fine then,” the figure replied.
Figure: I rushed towards the boy, enveloping him in a dark cloud as he screamed. "I guess some people just learn the hard way."
Chapter 5: Trust?[]
It was a hard decision. The Crystal Tribe had killed Rose's tribe. Her people. But... this one was different.
Rose: "I'll go get Florian." I said quickly as I ran off. I came back with Florian who told me to go make her some mushroom stew (healthy yet disgusting) to help the girl warm up. She obviously didn't like the stew (Florian just laughed and told her it was good for her) but she slurped it up like it was the first meal she had in days (it probably was). "That was terribly disgusting, but I would rather eat this then tree bark," the girl said as she gives Florian the bowl back. "I guess you're not that bad," I replied as she walked off with the bowl. “By the way, what is your name? Mine is Rose,” I asked. “Harper,” the girl replied. Just then my mind flickered. A shadow. Possessing a boy not much older than her. "Rose?" Florian called. I flickered back to the present. "The forbidden one. It's back," I said as fast as possible. But Florian was gone. All the fairies were gone. "ROOOOOOOSE!" I heard the forbidden one roar. I ran back to Harper, terrified. "Come on. We have to get out of here," I said through gritted teeth.
Part 2: The Peculiar Prophecy[]
Chapter 6: The Dark Legend[]
“Why do we have to go?” Harper asks. “The forbidden one. It’s back.” Rose replies. The name sounded familiar, but where had Harper heard it? Perhaps a prophecy. But which one? “What is the forbidden one?” Harper asked.
“A shadow,” Rose replied. She knew her presence in the forest would disturb the shadow. Then another question struck her.
"Why didn't your Tribe kill me?" she asked Harper.
"Because, they....thought you were part of a prophecy." Harper said.
"Me? Why me?" Rose asked.
"They would never tell me why you were so important to live. Can't a prophecy just live without a subject?" Harper replied. "Do you think you already know it, or should I tell you?"
"Yes, I know it. My father was a great prophet." Rose responded. "It foretells darkness. But we don't have much time. We're on Mech territory, and they are very defensive. So, let's run to Resurrection territory. They accept anybody."
"By the way, how is a shadow harmful?" Harper asked.
“It could destroy everything,” Rose replied. Then, she remembered my visions. What do you think happened to the boy?" she asked. "It must have been painful to be possessed by a shadow of such immense power.
"What boy?" Harper asks.
"Oh, nothing." Rose had forgotten that it was a shadow vision. Shadow visions were always nothing but illusions mostly but that one... it seemed so... real. "How long til we get there?"
Chapter 7: Shadows[]
Forbidden Darkness: I wake up and get up. I look at my new body. "Yes! It worked! Now let’s see if I can harness the astral element." I use falling star smash on some rocks and obliterate them just as I see two girls approaching. I hide behind a rock and wait for them to walk a little farther ahead and follow them.
Rose: A rustle in the bushes. I draw my sword. "Who's there?" Another rustle.
Harper: I whip out my Ice Sickle, glaring around the area. I hear breathing. "It's another wizard," I murmur.
Rose: I swing my sword. A familiar voice whispered "Hello Rose..." it was coming closer. I squeaked. "What?" Harper asked. "Something called me." it whispered again. "Rose, come with ussssss..." Us? There were two of them? Then it hit me. I grabbed Harper and made a run for it.
Harper: "What the-" I said, I was flown through the air, even though I wasn't flying. “What’s happening?” I asked.
Rose: "It's the forbidden one and the kid I was talking about." I said.
Harper: I notice another boy following us. "That must be....no, it couldn't be. No, it HAS to be him." I stuttered. Rose seemed to notice him too.
Rose: "You know him?" I asked.
Harper: "Yes, but I know something about him. That he used to be a minion of Carcus." I replied.
Chapter 8: Thoughts[]
Zane: I grabbed my head. What was happening to me? Then I saw two girls...one looked familiar...and I was following them? I tried to stop, but it felt like something had hit me, but not physically...Then, I saw the dark figure...and he was in my head? I tried to force him out but he knocked me unconscious and said, "I'll be taking control of your body permanently." Before I drifted into unconsciousness, I saw another boy hiding behind a rock following the girls.
Chapter 9: I am Carcus[]
Chris: I looked at the blood red crystal. I touched it, then touched my Eclipse Helm. It disguised me as Carcus's brother, who everybody thought was trusting. But they were dead wrong. This blood red crystal was the remains of Carcus. If I didn't have this, then I would be dead. I'm even surprised Amanda still trusts me. But let me tell you who I am: Chris Snapdragon, the reincarnation of Carcus the Terrible. I found myself behind a rock, staring at two girls. I had a urge to attack them, but they were tribe wizards. If they died, then their whole tribe would go nuts. Then the one with blue hair noticed me. She had her sword out. "Who's there?" She asked. I stood up.
Rose: The guy had an odd spiritual presence to him. "Who are you?" I snapped. "I'm just Chris." He stated. "Chris who?" I barked. "Chris Snapdragon." he replied. Harper also seemed a little uneasy. "Come on Harper. Let's go."
Chris: "Wait! Where are you going?" I asked. I saw myself as no more than a baby. Carcus looked weak, but then he ripped out his dark black soul, and shoved it in my body. Then I snapped back into the real world.
Harper: Suddenly, I heard an explosion. I looked around and saw where the sound came from. The Resurrection Tribe.
Rose: No. Not again. I can’t lose my tribe again! I ran towards the Resurrection tribe with Harper next to me with a look of horror in her eyes. Chris trailed close behind. I didn’t want him to follow us, but I didn’t have the time to tell him to stop following us.
Harper: I was running beside Rose and the boy we met to the Resurrection Tribe territory. Faster than a Mystember.
Chapter 10: Resurrection of Doom[]
Alvin: “Oh no, what do we do now? What do I DO NOW?” I ask myself. "What's wrong?" someone asks. I look up and see a girl standing over me. “Nothing,” I replied, not wanting the girl to see my helplessness. I try to read her mind to see what she wants with me, but I can't. “No use,” I sigh. Ever since the Power Crystal exploded I have been completely powerless.
Harper: Are you trying to read my mind? You know that's impossible." I say. Then I hear some bushes rustle and a chuckle. “Wha-” I gasp. The boy slowly backed away. “Who are you?!?” The boy asks. I bring rocks out of the ground, and shoot them at the figure. He blocked the rocks with a ball of shadow.
Forbidden Darkness: “With everyone here powerless, I can destroy this tribe!” “How?! You have mastered the power of shadow!” the boy exclaims. I silently chuckle at the boy’s stupidity. The other one pulls out a wand known as the Blizzard Buster. I ignore him. “Then, I will be one step closer to world domination!” “You are not the first one to try that!” the boy with the Blizzard Buster states defiantly. I fuse my shadow and astral power to create a new spell: Meteor Spell. I fire it at the wizards, but then the spell explodes in mid-air. Wha-What happened? Then, I grab my head and realize I am losing control of Zane’s body just as the other boy turns into a dragon and sinks his claws into Zane's arm. I scream in pain.
Zane: “Get out of here!” I yell, “I can’t hold Forbidden Darkness off for long!” I grit my teeth against the pain in my arm. "Uhh...could you please take your claw out of my arm? That hurts a lot." The dragon then took his claw out of my arm and turned back into a boy. “Thanks-AAAAAH!” I grab my head and lose control of my body again.
Chris: I stopped digging my claw into the boy's arm. I sensed the energy coming from him was friendly. I let go. I changed out of my dragon form. I then ran, as the boy instructed me to. The blue haired girl looked at me, displeased.
Alvin: I turned around and thought maybe I can try to control his mind. I may still have a little bit of power left. Might as well try. Instead, I ended up knocking Forbidden Darkness out. I then healed his arm and stepped back trying to focus my power into keeping him knocked out. “I can only keep him like that for so long, so get somewhere safe,” I stated “I can’t hold him off for much longer!” I exclaimed. “My...head,” I said faintly. The last thing I saw before I passed out was Forbidden Darkness standing over me summoning a cluster of particles that were about to explode.
Forbidden Darkness: I woke up and rubbed my head. Then, I looked at the boy lying on the ground, unconscious. “One more reason to get rid of this tribe.” I proceeded to summon a cluster of particles and prepared to make them all explode. Then, the spell disappeared. “I...won’t...let...you...do...that,” Zane whispers weakly.
Harper: I lit a fire in the cave, it flickering before Rose, Chris, and I. I looked at her. "When is this misery going to stop?" I asked.
Rose: "I don't know Harper, but we will get through it together.”
Part 3: The Fallen Rose[]
Chapter 11: Flame Dancer Amanda[]
Chris: I saw the two girls emerge from a cave. I ran to them, eager to tell them something. The girl with brown hair definitely knew I was coming, so she jumped, turned around, and waved. "Hi Chris! What's up?" She said. "Well, I have some news. My sister, Flame Dancer Amanda, is coming to help us with our journey." I said. "This is a journey to figure out a prophecy." The blue haired girl said. "And no, I don't have time to tell you and your sister it." "That's fine." I replied. Amanda then appeared, flames circling around her. The flames then flew off, and she waved. "Hi, my name's Flame Dancer Amanda!" She said.
Chapter 12: Visions[]
Light Consumer: "Hello Rose. What do I want? Oh that is quite simple. A friend just as powerful as me. What if you decline? Your friends will simply just vanish. Rose, you have mastered powers far beyond the normal. Come with us and you will have what you deserve. Power, freedom, and your whole tribe may come back to life. You have one week. Make your move."
Rose: Then Forbidden Darkness appeared behind me. I jumped. Then he pointed to a rock wall behind me. "All you need is to break that barrier..."
Harper: Rose's eyes weren't focused on anything. I shook her. "A-are you okay?" I asked. Rose snapped back into the world and shook her head, and then looked at Amanda.
Rose: I lost it for a moment and regretted it. "AAAGH!" I screamed and punched Harper in the face. "WHAT WAS THAT FOR?" She yelled back. I stood there with terror realizing that I had no choice but to become the person my mother feared I would become. The fabled Dark One. Master of Time and Death. Also destroyer of corn (That's what Lily always called me).
Harper: "I-i just..." I shivered. I was sad. Scared. Then I ran off. Chris followed me, yelling for me to come back. Then, a shadow appeared. I noticed it, which stopped me in my tracks. Chris must've noticed it too. "Rose...come with us..." the shadow stated. "and you could be stronger than you ever imagined." Rose? What does the shadow want with her? I looked back at Rose.
Rose: I froze. I took one look back at my friends, one look at the forest which used to be my home, and left with the shadow telling myself that I would come back someday. Before I could say goodbye, I was hit in back of the head, lost consciousness, and swept off into the woods. Later, I woke up in a dark cave in the middle of the woods. The last thing I remembered was the screaming of my friends. "Hello Rose, I don't think I introduced myself. I am Forbidden Darkness," Forbidden Darkness hissed. "Are my friends okay?" I hurriedly asked Forbidden Darkness. "They are no longer any of your business," he replied.
Zane: I was chasing the two girls. Again. They had acquired 2 new friends and were camping out in a cave. I whispered something that I couldn't distinguish. Probably shadow. The girl with the blue hair seemed to hear. She slowly got up and walked towards me. Just then I grabbed her by the arm. I tried to stop myself but I couldn't. She twisted free from my grip and started to run. I tried and tried to resist the shadow but it was too strong. I hit her in the head with my staff and she fell. I picked her up and vanished away.
Chapter 13: The Truth[]
Harper: I looked at Amanda and Chris. I really got a look at their clothing. Amanda was wearing the New Years Mask, Racer Outfit, and using Gizmotron as her weapon. Chris was wearing the Eclipse Helm, Dragon Robes, Dragon Boots, and he had a Eclipse Sky Scythe that looked like it was burning. It was usual for me to judge somebodies clothing, but not my friend's clothing. But that New Year's Mask was terrifying. I heard a girl calling Rose. I darted out of the cave, staring at her. "What are you doing here?" I gasped. Amanda and Chris already had their weapons out. Amanda and Chris charged forward. I couldn't stop them even if I tried, they were determined to defeat her.
Mysterious Girl: I stopped the two with two mechanical chains and held them captive, I said in a serious voice, "Give. Me. My. Daughter. Back."
Amanda: "We don't have your daughter!" I peeped. "Just believe us and let us go!" Chris begged. "We'll even show you proof we don't have her!" I suggested.
Mysterious Girl: I looked at the two suspiciously and released them. "I am so sorry that I mistook you as the kidnappers." I introduced myself to the two. "I am Kira, I am a wizard like you two. Who might you be?" The two stood up. They turned. "I'm Flame Dancer Amanda, and the green haired boy beside me is Chris Snapdragon!" Amanda said happily.
Harper: I sat up. Amanda and Chris were still asleep, but I felt the dim presence of shadow. It must've left. But I couldn't help but to investigate. I stood up, picked up my Ice Sickle, and walked out of the cave. I saw Kira in front of the cave, staring at the beautiful night sky. "H-hello?" I stuttered.
Kira: "Hey," I said to Harper calmly, "Have a seat and look at the night sky."
Harper: "I-i guess that would be nice." I said, sitting down and dropping my Ice Sickle.
Kira: As Harper sat down, I turned to her with a cheery face. "Thanks for sitting here with me, Sorry for attacking you innocent wizards, I didn't know you didn't have my daughter. I get very lonely now these days, ever since my daughter disappeared, it's very, dull here when I sit on those starry nights. I miss those times when my daughter and I used to sit on the soft grass, gazing on the starry nights. "Oh, that's sad." Harper replied to me as we looked at the starry night sky. "What was your daughters name?" She asked me. Then it hit me. My daughter's name wasn't Rose. It was...
Harper: "Harper?" I repeated. I blinked. I wanted to believe she was my mom. But I couldn't.
Chapter 14: Assistance[]
Alvin: I sat up and looked at the sky. "It’s getting dark," I yawned, "I’ll go back to-" Then, something caught my eye. "The camp!" I exclaimed as I looked around at the remains of the camp. I need to go get some help, I thought as I ran into the forest.
Harper: I heard rustling noises. I dashed out of the cave, leaving Chris and Amanda behind. I slid in front of the forest entrance, looking around.
Alvin: A girl looked at me. Wait, was that the same girl from a couple days ago? I'm pretty sure she could tell I needed help. And I REALLY didn't want to do this, but: "PLEASE! RESTORE THE POWER CRYSTAL, OR MY WHOLE TRIBE WILL DIE! PLEASE!" I begged. I immediately regretted that.
Harper: I looked at Alvin. He really did need my help. Wasn't surprising, of course. "Alright. C'mon, you can come watch me do it." I said, walking to the Crystal Pond.
Chapter 15: Final Battle[]
Rose: I shot up. The cave was cool and damp but the shadow presence was strong. "Hello?" I called up the tunnel. "Good afternoon Rose." Forbidden Darkness replied. "Oh hi." I said bitterly. "Uhhh... who did you possess?" I asked. "Just some wizard named Zane is all. Not the best looking but he'll do." The shadow remarked. I looked up at Zane. Just then I saw a grave expression of pain in his eyes. I immediately felt the need to fight. "Do you have anything to eat? I would fight but I really need some food." I stated. "Of course." Forbidden Darkness replied, and gave me an spirit fruit. I chomped it down (YUUUUM) as quickly as possible. "Okay, good. Now the real fight begins." I hissed. I drew my sword out of my sheath and charged.
Zane: "Don't...do it...Rose...just...get...away...from here...," I weakly replied.
Rose: "SHUT UP STUPID WIZARD!" the Forbidden Darkness boomed. I Kapow Cabbaged him for fun. I roared. I raised my sword and smacked possessed Zane in the side head with the side of my blade.
Forbidden Darkness: I purposely throw a couple of punches that missed.
Rose: I kicked possessed Zane in the stomach and sent him flying backwards. Then, Forbidden Shadow left Zane's unconscious body.
Forbidden Darkness: "So Rose, you really are a monster," I chuckled. I pointed to Zane's unconscious body. "That's not what a hero does is it?" I asked, "You belong with us-"
Rose: I promptly attacked him using Falling Star Smash and irritably replied, "If you'd please, consider the fact that you took over his body and used it against him." I decided to use Overgrowth only for him to phase through the attack and let it hit the rock wall behind him. Then Forbidden Shadow floated aside as cracks spread up the wall. Then, gray clouds oozed out of the wall and took the appearance of a horned beast.
Light Consumer: "Thank you Rose," I hissed. "Oh, and thank you Forbidden Darkness. Your time is up."
Forbidden Darkness: "Wha-What d-do you m-m-mean by th-th-that?" I stuttered.
Rose: I watched as the Light Consumer blasted Forbidden Darkness and made him explode. However, the cave also exploded.
Amanda: I heard an explosion along with everyone else. Alvin was the first to act and teleported us all over. I saw rocks flying all over the place and saw a figure that looked like...ROSE! I flew over and blasted a bunch of rocks away. I looked behind me only to see a giant rock flying towards me. I blasted flames at it and the rock exploded, sending me flying backwards.
Rose: The dust cleared as I coughed. Then, I saw a body lying on the ground, covered by pieces of rocks. I ran over to the body and pulled the rocks off of it. "Amanda is that you?" I picked her up. She winced. "Rose...keep...Harper...alive..." she groaned. Then, she stopped breathing. "Amanda...no," I said as tears welled up in my eyes. Then, I remembered Zane and ran over to him to gladly see him breathing. Then, I heard the Light Consumer say, "ROOOSE...come here..." I turned around with a look of fury in my eyes. "and we could rule the world together..." the Light Consumer continued. "Nah, I'm not that dumb," I replied. "Well if you won't join us, then you will have to join your dead friend," the Light Consumer sighed. "WHAT IS GOING ON?-Wait... AMANDA!" Harper cried as she ran to Amanda's body. "Go sleep with the radishes light chomper," I growled as I used Wildfire.
Light Consumer: "It's Light CONSUMER," I irritably stated as I absorbed the attack and used it to create a fiery Crystal Crash only for Rose to barely dodge the attack.
Rose: Zane was still out, Harper and Chris were being of no use, and Alvin only had a gun. The gun. I knew what to do. It would take lots of energy, but it was worth it. I needed to unleash my inner Light Consumer. I thought about everything that angered me. The killing, Amanda's death, Mother... Mother. I thought about Mother leaving me behind, Mother calling me a monster, anything about Mother. I single tear rolled down my cheek. My shadow burst out from my chest. I looked just like the Light Consumer except instead of the crystal of souls as it's heart, it had me. I exploded with every spell I knew. In a matter of minutes the Light Consumer was dead, but I didn't have enough energy to control myself anymore. With the last of my strength I managed to rasp "Please... kill me." and I burst. It felt like everything was burning inside of me. I screamed. I opened my eyes and saw: Kira tied to a tree, screaming "flurrious", Zane had gotten up and looked terrified, Harper clung to Chris, and Alvin had his gun raised. I slowly nodded... then Alvin fired. My shadow disappeared and I was falling through the air. I landed on the ground with a thud. "ROSE!" Kira screamed. Harper sobbed into Chris' arm. Zane kneeled over me and whispered, "Thank you." And everything went black.
