Introduction[]
The key to leading a double life was staring me in the face, but not in the most welcoming way, as a matter a fact, quite the opposite.
I had two choices in front of me, and both would cut of a big part of my life.
But before I continue on that let me tell you how I got in this egregious situation to begin with.
Chapter 1: Arrival[]
I am a considerably regular person, an average job, moderate looks, and decent knowledge. Nothing was going for me, ๐ฉ๐ฐ๐ธ๐ฆ๐ท๐ฆ๐ณ something was going on for the land of Prodigia. That thing was getting nano-suits. I know it doesn't sound outrageous at first, but it truly is remarkable! They were these glossy, black AI suits made from titanium. They had advanced computing with far-range hearing and an HD vision visor. Rockets were attached to the bottom of the beta suits but didn't make it onto the official design like I had hoped for.
Those suits had been teased for years, and I went to the release of them. I remember getting dressed extremely nice for the occasion since over fifty people would be there, and that meant there would be over fifty people that could call me ugly if I wore what I would usually wear. I locked my doors before walking out my house doors. I got onto my white horse, Blanc. His mane was so white and silky that it had almost appeared pearlescent when the sun beamed onto it; my horse had brayed as I got on him.
"Calm down boy, calm down," I repeated while stroking him. He started trotting into the everlasting horizon. We had arrived shortly after as it was not very long away from our home. I began tying Blanc to a small wooden pole just below my ankle before feeding him a carrot while stroking him. I turned to see the arena which was currently being used for the convention, and it looked lovely. The doors were sleek and had Gale written on them, similar to the suits.
A voice had echoed from inside. "Come one, Come all! Every wizard!" It was soft but strong and yet it still managed to sound welcoming. I had tried pushing through the crowd, barely keeping my hat on while at it. There were many voices and random magic sparks. I after a long time of shoving through people, I finally made it to the door to see two stocky figures staring down at me. One slid their glasses down to their nose revealing a robotic eye, and it scanned me with a laser.
I began walking into the arena before he stopped me "ID?" He asked making his hand ready to take one. I realized I forgot my ID at home.
