Merry is a character, a member of the Magical Mercenaries.
Appearance[]
Tall for the average human, Merry is above six feet in height (300 px) and levitates between one and ten feet in the air at all times. He travels either barefoot or wearing leather moccasins, willing to slip them off due to his lack of need for them in warmer areas. His multi-layered, tattered magic shroud is charcoal gray and looks to be made of tough fabric. His tight-fitting hood (the hood exposes his large ears) and underclothing look to be made of costume-grade spandex, but it is still enough for him as a real wizard. On the top of his head is a ram's skull, horns and all, and even a single green eye that fits in one of the sockets is included; the eye moves on its own occasionally. The ram's skull is unusual: its horns curl downward and do not spiral outward; the horn opposite of the skull's eye is severed.
Personality[]
Despite his nametag, Merry is a very grumpy, irritable person. Having spent hard time for his activities in the world of Team Fortress, he is displeased with how he was treated in the past and sought out freedom, landing permanently in the Prodigy world. As a lich, he kisses up to the very concept that he is like the Puppet Master and attempts every day to obtain Shadow magic, but fails due to its removal. Additionally, Merry tries his best to find the location of the Puppet Master's remains in hopes of bringing him back to life, but fails each time.
Due to the canon of Team Fortress, Merasmus dislikes the rest of the Magical Mercenaries that followed him into Prodigy because of their insolence and incapability of leaving him alone to do what he wants to do--live forever. This is a nonsensical behavior of his because they are genuinely valuable in surviving the elements of the Prodigy universe; it goes to show that Merry himself lacks survivor's sense.
Weapons/Gear[]
- Staff: Merry's staff that he carries while fighting the other Magical Mercenaries in their own universe was lucky enough to come with him on the trip.
- Beholder Monoculus: An extra eye that became repossessed after Tavish lost it. It is sentient and similar to a familiar, and follows Merry behind him like a buddy. It can be deployed for spying purposes.
Abilities[]
- Astral Magic: Unfortunately for Merry, his dark magical powers have been switched for Astral combat magic, summoning and conjuring, etc. related to the Astral element upon entry. He lost his ability to teleport himself and the rest of the Magical Mercenaries home after entering.
- Utility Magic: Merry can summon small sources of light, use minor telekinetic strength, etc. to suit his environmental needs.
- Antics Survival: If something completely random and unexpected happens, there is a 100% chance that Merry survives it in the long run; Merry can die and stay deceased for a period of up to a week afterward.
- Emission: Merry emits a faint lime green (not Earth-element green) light wherever he goes. He cannot turn this effect off.
