Prologue: Lost Island Era[]
SEVERAL YEARS AGO...
Frostbringer King was walking through the forests of the Lost Island, searching for monsters to battle. There, he would get wood, give Swoopy it, and get some Trial Master's gear.
He definitely did not expect to be captured by the Puppet Master.
The Puppet Master stood on the hill, his dark magenta and gold hat shadowing his head. His robes were a dark magenta with purple, gold, and green, light blue, light gray, red, and blue dots. His staff was a mystical shadowy eggplant color with a pinkish-purple crystal in the top circle. It was encased in royal purple branches like a huge rose in a tumbleweed.
He raised his staff and Frostbringer King was encased in a cage of darkness. He tried to escape, but chains of smoke pushed him down, encasing the wizard in a cocoon of smoke and darkness. King's wand was snapped in half, and the astral inside him slowly escaped and turned into shadow. The astral's light yellow and blue color became a green wisp and floated high in the cloudy sky.
King changed physically as well, his skin turning into oak and his hair replaced by a thing that resembled a hat. He also got barely visible strings on his shoulders and King's eyes turned purplish-magenta.
When the transformation was all done, he was mainly purple and dark pink, but there was some gold in his outfit.
"Now," the Puppet Master boomed, "you are to be called Pippet forever. You will obey my orders no matter what. You will never remember your past life. Do not hear someone mention your old name, or all will be lost."
Mira jolted awake and rushed outside.
Frostbringer King wasn't anywhere in the Lost Island. He must have been turned into Pippet by her brother, like in the dream.
1: Post-Lost Island Era[]
It has been six or seven years since the Puppet Master (him, again?) removed the astral from a wizard and turned them into a puppet, and she did not forget it. He was right there, unable to know of his past self.
Pippet was still standing in the exact same corner, not moving a tiny bit. Must be his orders, she thought. The Puppet Master enchanted him to obey every command he says.
"Pippet!" the Puppet Master snapped. "You destroyed the pedestals for the gems! Why?" Pippet said calmly, "Just following orders." Mira knew the Puppet Master would enchant himself to have perfect memory, as he almost always forgets things right after they happened. He was muttering something like, "Why'd I order him to do that? Soon I'll have to pick a successor because of my crusty memory."
Mira thought about who the successor would be, and her best guess was Frostbringer King, now Pippet, although she didn't say it out loud.
