Monsters of Treacherous Taiga is a fanon group for Prodigy. The group appears in the fanfiction Fluttery Love.

Culture[]
Ever since the Order of Influence began, some monsters became aware of the nefarious activities of those power-hungry wizards. Because they did not have high hopes, they decided to flee on an exodus westward, eventually swimming or setting sail on simple rafts across the empty sea towards Treacherous Taiga, an island that they were not certain of even existing. The refugees adapted to the temperate climate and began to grow their community, sharing stories to their children and children's children about their departure from an island to the East of them.
Adults told each other that it was unsafe to ever return, which ensured that the entire community would remain separate from Prodigy Island. It was this way until Nike came across the island by sheer happenstance. She informed the group that they would be getting help for their woes on the island, which prompted her to manage the community. She eventually brought help and fought against the Order alongside Trialmasters and Bounty Hunters. The island soon joined them and waged war against the Order, helping to bring it down in the name of returning to their homeland. Only adult monsters ever fought formally, but some minors from the island dared to raise a metaphorical fist against those of the Shadow element.
Weapons/Gear[]
Most of the monsters do not have clothing or special equipment, but some choose to wear feather jewelry and beads they found or crafted on the island. The only strength they had is in numbers, using their bodily structures and magical powers to fulfill their niches and fight the Order.
Abilities[]
Each monster has their own abilities and magic, some inherited and some learned. Not all of them share a single ability, but they do have greater physical strength and constitution from adapting to an environment that they were not born into.
Strengths and Weaknesses[]
The monsters have their own strengths and weaknesses to work on, but they do have interdependence and strength in numbers. Almost all monsters on the island are weak to the Shadow element.
Trivia[]
- All monsters can communicate with each other in a shared language, which is just referred to as Monster.
- Very few monsters can communicate in Wizard speak. Since Nike learned that language, she was able to translate the needs of the Monsters of Treacherous Taiga to the Trialmasters to get help late into the war.
- Child and unevolved monsters are simply referred to as "little ones," not "children" by island inhabitants.
