“ | Welcome to the Treacherous Taiga! I know this isn't what you might have been expecting, but this entire island is bountiful and can last us decades...maybe. | ” |
— Nike

Nike is an NPC not used in roleplay. She is a current resident of the Treacherous Taiga and settled in the location with monsters that initially resisted the the Order of Influence without the help of wizards.
Appearance[]
Nike is a tall Luminex with a yellow four-pointed star marking centered on her forehead instead of the standard crescent moon. This marking was present throughout her previous evolutionary as well. Instead of red irises, they are yellow--this helps to block out unnecessary light and glare from the moon. Like other Luminex, however, she has the same thick, ragged fur, although hers is less clumped. Her general build is less top-heavy and more realistic for a bipedal monster, but this did not cost her the species' identifiable, large front paws.
Personality[]
The daunting task of surviving on her own without being captured by the Order of Influence changed Nike over the years. She no longer holds near and dear to the memories of her experiences as a Luminite, knowing that they were too comfy for her liking. She realized that those monsters that raised her until she could cast Storm spells were not helping her because they wanted to or because they were being nice, but rather because she was going to become one of the Puppet Master's "mindless," destructive goons. She resisted and made her way to the Lost Island where she trained herself on elemental magic so as not to become a victim of the Order. It was not her preference to give up all freedoms in hopes of receiving comfort.
While she lived on the Lost Island, she realized how much she needed social connection. Since most Luminex were already combined with the Order and any other Luminex that remained out of the Puppet Master's grips were fiercely territorial, she could not find anyone of her own kind; instead of searching for a mate, she figured that there could still be lost, weak monsters that would need her help to stay away from the tantalizing empty promises that the game antagonists provided to every feral creature in Prodigy. While foraging in Lamplight Town one night, she found a clutch of four different gargoyle eggs and, since they were going to hatch, she would raise the chicks in hopes of having company in the future. They turned out to be Cloudmath, Scamp, Cobnut, and Paul, her adopted sons. She realized that if she was any bit hungrier, she would have eaten them--that caused her to have an internal conflict over whether or not to control her biological needs. She did have this struggle before taking care of them regarding other monsters, and she would sometimes cheat from subsistence hunting (hunting only when needed if no edible plants are available) if there were sickly, injured, or dying big game available.
Nike had been in a poor, "losing" situation for a long time both before and during parenthood. However, she never regretted her choice to help the clutch. After all of them left when they became fully-grown, she knew that she could live out the rest of her life on her own. After finding an entire island with inhabitants that were in need of support, she moved there out of multiple motivations: being exposed to monsters with the ability to communicate with them, she theorized, would help discourage her from seeing them as prey; helping out a new, much bigger community would prevent her from being too lonely; having already been affected by the Order of Influence made her want to help return the ecosystems in the Prodigy Archipelago to the way they were before nearly everyone had been combined.
Weapons/Gear[]
Nike does not have any form of heart bonus, damage bonus, or any innate bonuses other than those she received by training and leveling up. She does not possess any weapons or gear, but she can use vines, plant fibers, wood, and stones to make basic survival tools when needed.

Abilities[]
- Mother's Intuition: If Nike ever senses that a low-level entity nearby is in distress, she is inclined to come to their aid.
- Brute Strength: She can throw large, heavy objects up to 20 meters away and small, heavy objects up to 50 meters away.
- Ominous Howl: To communicate with other Luminexes in their native tongue, she can howl to them. Calls that indicate strong negative emotion are much louder and "can be heard miles away."
- Cold-Water Swimming: Nike is able to swim in cold water for extended periods of time without fainting. Her fur is thicker than other Luminex and is tightly-packed like an otter's, which helps her keep warm.
- Multilingual: Nike can speak in both Monster and Wizard.
Trivia[]
- Despite not taking "Stormchaser" as a surname, she is an honorary member of the Stormchaser family.
- She only spends part of her time with the Stormchaser family despite having been rescued by them. Because of her level of awareness and ability to speak the language of wizards, she is autonomous.
- Because she has close relationships with herbivorous monsters and animals, she only consumes meat if there is nothing else to eat. Like other monsters, she can only have dairy and eggs in limited quantities.
- Her name is only a reference to the Hellenistic goddess of victory, not the brand of clothing and footwear.
