The Ornithfest is a fanon event from the Ornithfest Update made for the FourSevensRueful Version of Prodigy Math. The event is not based on a real-world holiday—instead, it celebrates birds. It usually takes place between the two canon events Springfest and Summerfest.
Overview[]
Lamplight Town during Ornithfest takes on a more green appearance. The cobbled and tiled ground is slightly more cracked and has mosses and flowers growing through it. The hedges become more unkempt and have small colonial flowers sprouting from them. The places where green grass is normally found shows weeds and brambles. Additionally, nearly every overhang contains a bird feeder or a birdhouse. The same aesthetic appears in the Lamplight Town battle theme.
Pterry[]
Pterry is a bird-loving fairy guide with wings the shape of those of her feathered friends. She has a large chariot full of bird cages, bags of seed, suet containers, and other birdcore aesthetic items.
Daily Monsters[]
Every day, Lamplight Town contains a new nest scrape in the ground or in hedges with a monster hiding a hoard of feathers. When the wizard clicks on the shadowy monster, it leaps at them, and they enter battle against a single monster. If the player wins, they gain ten Quills. The player cannot rescue any of the daily monsters. The following species can fight the player:

Quills are the staple currency of Ornithfest. They appear to be small cotton-and-recycled paper rectangular notes with the face of an owl on them. They appear brown and slightly grainy, but they are in perfect condition.

Weekly Rewards[]
Ornithfest has a weekly rewards mechanic similar to that in 2021-2022 Winterfest that encourages students to learn math. Ornithfest takes place over four weeks during most occasions, so players must play for at least one session every week to collect everything. Every week the player must win twelve battles.

Additionally, Ornithfest has overall rewards that players can only work towards after completing the weekly quest for their week. Once the week changes, they must work on that week's challenge before continuing with the overall rewards.

Trivia[]
- Just like the Seasonal Tournaments Update, there is a tournament specific to this event. People are allowed to gamble Quills in hopes of winning more than they spent.
- Between mid-spring and early summer in the Northern Hemisphere there is an incoming migration of flying birds in real life.
- Rueful added beaked dinosaur pets to the daily monsters roster because they are similar to birds and the roster was too small.
Improving Gameplay[]
An additional type of event may increase the popularity of Prodigy Math during the last stretch of the Northern Hemisphere academic year while potentially sparking students' interest in birds.
