The Collision Update is the first stage of Prodigy: Open World. It's broken down in multiple sub-versions that will be added gradually.

Overview[]

Summary[]

In this update, Prodigy is transferred off the web and onto a downloaded game, allowing it so that players aren't waiting eternally for it to load. Additionally, Prodigy Math is made more 3D in order to align with its pet redesigns and newer areas. This makes the addition of Prodigy English more "friendly." The map is made more akin to that of Open World games so that the player may view more areas, which in turn would the "Elemental Isles" be added between the already familiar Island of Prodigy (and its keys) and the Island in which Prodigy English takes place (in which some users have dubbed, the island of ProdigE). The Prodigy English "Energy Wheel" is added to the hot bar, and some features of the hot bar will be moved to the "Expanded Menu" (moved over from Prodigy English). It can also be noted that:

  • Areas such as the Lost Island, Dyno Dig Questing Area, and Clockwork Town have been readded, although the majority revamped.
  • Woody Affairs has been added to the Lost Island, allowing players to exchange wood for items.
  • Pets now follow you in all areas instead of just Harmony Island and Crystal Caverns, however, only the owner can see them unless they are equipped as a buddy (Epics).
  • The Nesting Grounds/Pet Lodge is now an area in between Lamplight Town, Firefly Forest, and Tower Town.
  • Areas on the mid to top west side of the map are notably more spread out, leaving a blank area (which will in turn become the Silvian Forest later on). The Fairy Market place is now visible next to Firefly and Tower Town, although locked.
  • The Elemental Isles are open to players, however, upon entering certain areas, Noot will lead the player away due to them being a work in progress.
  • Elemental Areas are now larger, yet upon entering certain areas, Noot will lead the player away.
  • The Underworld and Academy Sub-basement have been added.

In-Game Description[]

Oasis Desert[]

"This scorching environment been closed off for years, and Professor Scoog personally choose you to be first to explore it! Who knows, you might find something interesting."

The Lost Island[]

If Open[]

"The island of Floatlings has returned! Help Dandelion restore the village in exchange for rewards!"

If Closed[]

"The Lost Island has vanished again...

Keep a eye out for it's return, there's great rewards in store!"

New Zones[]

Oasis Desert[]

The Dyno Dig Oasis is expanded, creating a large desert for the player to explore. This desert contains Egyptian-like ruins and scattered fossils, in which Scoog requests the layer to document. This, in turn, becomes the new Dyno Dig Questing Area.

The Lost Island[]

The island has been renovated to match the current art style, and instead of Swoopy being the village leader, an Earth Floatling named Dandelion has taken charge. An non-aligned Floatling named Spruce handles a shop called Woody Affairs, in which the player can exchange wood for items. Notably, the island appears and disappears after certain intervals, encouraging the player to interact when it appears.

Clockwork Town[]

The town has not only been renovated to match the current style, but redesigned to show the past and current technological advancements of Prodigy. The area features the robotic pets, buddies, nicknames, and gear in Prodigy, including removed features. A secondary TEK-Y4 game is located here, unlocked after completing the one in Lamplight Town. Additionally, the Tech Gobbler has been redesigned and added.

Notably, a "Downtown" has been added, showing the newer technical advancements displayed in the arena and member items. This area contains a separate shop from the main area of Clockwork Town, and hosts the new version of the Robo-Olympics.
