- Jason Goldbringer
Jason Goldbringer was one of the stranger students at the academy. He was very lonely and belonged to the Plant magic school, but often stayed in the archives, reading a book or two. It was strange that he neAer got lost. Some people say he always found his way because of his glow-worm, Glow, which he bought from the Academy gift shop. Even though he wasn't one of the mean students who battled students at midnight, or snuck into the teachers' offices, he always seemed to be hated by all of his teachers still. The older kids always left him alone, as they thought he wasn't worth messing with. Jason had never wanted to learn Earth magic. All he ever wanted was to explore Shiverchill Mountains on his own. But his whole family was a group of highly learned wizards, and they had all learned earth magic. So his parents put him into the Academy, putting him into Earth magic without asking him his opinion. But nobody underestimated Jason, as he was the top of his class. He mastered spells in a blink, and he was never looked down on by the students, because of his family, the Goldbringers, who were known to be the wizard family who had played a big part in bringing down the Puppet Master with their Earth magic, and his unusual grades. He seems like a good teacher's pet, but all the teachers ever did to him was punish him for getting a spell right on the first try, or for no reason. A few weeks ago, he had let go of his dream to be a Silverchill Mountains explorer, and the three places he ever went was the Archives, the Earth Tower, and detention, which was cleaning the items in the Academy's gift shop or wiping down the books which he had already read. When entering the Archives these days, he thought he had explored all the rooms and read all the spell books, but he always managed to find a new room that couldn't have been there the day before, with its tarnished books, and academy pages that students had dropped in their secret Archive midnight wizard duels. Sometimes, when he was the first one who mastered the new Earth spell, he wished he was invisible. There are many rumors about Jason, but none of them are true.
2. Harmony Magiccatcher
Harmony was the most popular student in the school. She led most of the clubs filled with high ranking wizards, which she liked to admit to her various clubs. She knew every wizard that ever came to the Academy, except Jason Goldbringer, who never said a word to anyone. Despite her fluffed up attitude, she was one of the smarter students to attend the Academy. She was known to be challenging her club to duels and winning easily. Harmony was the richest girl in Lamplight Town, and wore fancy dresses to the academy, even though it was against the dress code. She wasn't ever punished, and she was every Earth teacher's pet. There are not as many rumors about her, even though there are a few, gossiped in the hallways. Some say that she knows the Earth warden, Professor Florian, personally, and they even think that she's related to Florian in some way, so she's part fairy. Her most trusted buddy was known to be a Plump Snup named Fluffy.
Still, Harmony thought she had all the highly learned wizards in her clubs, but when she learned about Jason's straight A's, she was horrified and angry. So she set out to talk to Jason, who she knew would be hard to persuade to join her clubs. So she decided to use her most common method of meeting a new person who she hoped would join her clubs. She simply bumped straight into them and pretending it was an accident. As soon as she had a plan formed in her mind, she dueled her friends straight up until her next class, where she had to master the new spell called "Overgrowth". After class, she sneakily followed Jason on his way to the Archives, popping her chocolate (which was given to her by her teacher for mastering a spell) in her mouth as she walked.
3.Jason Goldbringer
Jason was just walking down the halls, when someone came running toward him, full speed, holding some books in one hand, and a candy wrapper in the other. Before he knew it, Jason and the other girl were crashed down on the floor, books spread out behind them, and some chocolate smears on a test which wasn't his. He sat up, and so did the girl, who looked very familiar. Then it came to him: she was the girl who was the only person to master the spell "Overgrowth", apart from him. She was Harmony Magiccatcher, the most popular person in the Academy. "Oh! So sorry, I didn't mean to crash into you. You see, I was just running to a club meeting, didn't want to be late. Oh. um. .let me help you pick up your books! So what's your name?" she said all at once.
"Um...I'm Jason...you don't need to pick them up, I'll do it" Jason mumbled.
"What? I couldn't hear you! Anyways, I was looking for new candidates for my clubs, and you seemed like a good option! You get to meet all kinds of people. From Earth to Astral magic, you can see cool spells and duel me and my club! And best of all, new wands from my parents!" Harmony said excitedly.
"Um...well...er...Gee, that's a great honor...But I'm not good enough...No one wants me there." Jason tried to explain.
"Okay...Well, if that's what you want." Harmony said dejectedly, turning away.
"No! Wait! I'll join!" Jason screamed at once.
"Okay! See you tomorrow!" Harmony said happily.
Jason just stood there, embarrassed by what he had said. But he was also a bit happy. this was his chance to become the wizard his parents wanted him to be.
4. Ducas the Luminite
Ducas woke up, feeling the cold Skywatch air on his shoulders and wagging his adorable little tail. He looked up and saw the clouds. They were stormy and gray, a normal winter in his beautiful home, Skywatch. It was a Luminite's favorite place to be, fresh plants to eat, stormy weather, and worthy opponents for duels. He had many Luminite friends in Skywatch. Ducas padded around Gardener's Hut, where he slept cozily every night, dreams of being a tamed wizard pet in his mind. Ducas had once traveled to Lamplight Town with his best friend, Edcomo, another Luminite. They had found their way to Boardy and had asked him to be bounties, but their parents had found them and brought them back to Skywatch, holding them in their mouths by the scruffs of their necks. But Ducas could not forget all the wonderful wizards in Lamplight Town, eager for more pets. He had held on to his childhood dream, while Edcomo had moved on. Now that Edcomo and Ducas were older, they were permitted to roam around wherever they liked. Ducas preferred Lamplight Town, while Edcomo liked his home, Skywatch. Ducas padded out the door to see a group of Cloud Neeks bickering over who was the most powerful. Some Hobs looked around for wizards, hoping to fight and master better spells. Ducas surveyed his loved home, brightened up with pets and wizards. Ducas sniffed the air and went in Gardener's Hut, knowing that his parents were awake. His parents took him outside and they sat down, and they gave him some vines from the wizard machines for breakfast, and the hungry Luminite gobbled them up. Then they let Ducas go find Edcomo, so they could play. So Ducas set off towards Screwball Shack, where Edcomo and his family had made their home.
5. Lucastri the Scally
Lucastri was a young Scally, and it was about time for him to find his tree, like most Scallies did when they were ready to find food for themselves. Many young adventurous Scallies in Firefly Forest liked to go and explore, worrying their families and being stubborn. It was usually Lucastri's job to find the young Scallies, mainly because the adults had work to do, and the Scally pups were too young. And sure enough, Lucastri always brought them back safe and sound, as he usually had no trouble tracking the young pups down by their scents.
Lucastri's family and many others lived in the safe clearing of Scally Grove. It was the safest place for a young Scally like Lucastri to live, no troubles except the occasional cases of baby Scally running away. Scallies learned to fly when they were very young, unlike Squawks and Nebluffs, and other flying creatures. He remembered once when he was a little Scally, and ran away from his house. He had snuck into the Earth Tower and avoided wizards. Instead, he had found a baby Dreamlet and chased it around until he got tired. He had many memories of his childhood, but most of them in Scally Grove. Even though wizards thought Scallies were lazy, they were very powerful and adventurous, but the wizards were right about the food part. Scallies love food, and in Scally Grove, there was plenty for each Scally to become plump by the end of the day. As the sun rose in Firefly Forest, he heard shouts coming from a nearby tree. Great, he thought. Another baby Scally had gone missing.
6. Harmony Magiccatcher
Harmony placed her Winged Helm on her head and straightened out her hair. She grabbed her Angelic Shard, her most favorite wand. She grabbed her book bag and rushed out the door to the stairs, and into the Earth Tower. Just as the bell rang, she rushed into the classroom. In the crowd of the Earth Academy Students, she was the only one which
