The following are separate chapters for the quests in this update.
Prologue[]
- The player receives mail from Ulla saying:
- "Harmony and I have something big to show you
Our discovery is wonderful, bright, and new
I beg of you to come to Harmony Island
Meet us down by the heath at the west coast lowland."
- The player arrives and meets Ulla, alone.
Ulla: You've come! Listen, while I was searching for clues on where to find the Astral Warden, I found this hidden courtyard. Follow me.
- The player follows Ulla and her Mosstropod to the hidden courtyard just north of the heath. There is a high stone wall with crude hieroglyphs showing floatlings putting together structures on the ground, and one floatling points out of the stone to the courtyard, which itself has the same engravings as the ground in the hieroglyphs.
Ulla: This wall seems to be telling me that we have to gather items from Prodigy Island and bring them here to place on the ground. It might relay a message to us if we do that.
- The ground at the center of the courtyard has stone pegs of different shapes and heights for different types of items.
Ulla: I believe that we have to find items with holes that fit into those pegs so we can create some kind of floor tapestry.
Ulla: The Ancient--I mean, Harmony, told me that all these objects were blown away before the island sunk into the sea.
Ulla: They believe it is highly important that we fix this floor. She said that it helps locate anyone in the world if they stand on it and ask a name.
Ulla: I figured that since we can use this to find the Astral Warden, it might be a great idea to rebuild this floor.
Chapter 1: Wood[]
- Ulla fishes out a stripped log with a Phillips-head hole drilled through it.
Ulla: I dug this up a while ago in Firefly Forest. I think it might fit into the cross peg.
- Ulla slides the log in. It's a perfect fit."
Ulla: Wow! Okay, I think that means we should look for wood. There are beech trees in Firefly Forest and birch trees in Shiverchill Mountains.
Ulla: It seems like we need 4 more beech pieces and 6 more birch pieces. Good luck finding them!
Chapter 2: Ingot[]
- The player collects the necessary resources and returns to the courtyard.
Ulla: Great job! Now, there are plenty of wide, cylindrical pegs. Thick pieces of stone and minerals might work.
Ulla: There is plenty of granite in Skywatch, iron in Bonfire Spire, and steel in Shipwreck Shore.
Ulla: Come back when you have 8, 10, and 12, respectively.
Chapter 3: Mineral[]
- The player collects the necessary resources and returns to the courtyard.
Ulla: Wow! Now that we have all the wood and metal down, there are some strange triangular pegs. I've seen them before when cut out of large bits of metal.
Ulla: While you were gone, I surveyed the yard and found out that we need magite and mithril from Firefly Forest, adamantium from Shiverchill Mountains, onyx from Skywatch, pyrium from Bonfire Spire, and diamond from Shipwreck Shore.
Ulla: Do you think you can find those materials for me? Best of luck to you!
Chapter 4: Unlocking the Tapestry[]
- The player collects the necessary resources and returns to the courtyard.
Ulla: Wonderful! You have collected the correct amount of resources. Let me put them in to their proper positions.
- Ulla uses her swiftness and logic to fit all of the pieces together with you. The puzzle is complete, and the floor at the bottom of the tapestry begins to sparkle.
- The two of you back out and watch as the whole courtyard grout lights up a powerful blue and the hieroglyph wall slowly shifts into the floor. Two pillars on the sides of the wall now light up with blue fire.
Ulla: I did NOT expect this!
Noot: Me neither. Great job! Let's go to Harmony and ask to enter.
Harmony (telepathically): Yes, you four can enter. This was your doing, after all.
- Ulla, you, and Noot enter. There are steps descending into the cave. It is pitch black, so you bring out your wand and send out a Starbit Blast to light the way.
- All of you reach the bottom into a small chamber. There are five large turquoise rocks, each with small elemental engravings in them. There is a nearly white-engraved pebble by the gray-lined rock and a brown-engraved pebble by the green-lined rock.
Ulla: Woah! Look at this! The walls are glorious!
Noot: They look like ruin dweller art.
Ulla: Yes, fairy, they do. There seems to be-
- The rocks magnetically pull themselves together.
Noot: Wha??
Ulla: Oh?
Harmony Golem (Fire Mode): Hello! It's you four? Harmony never told me that there would be four.
Harmony Golem (Earth Mode): Now now, it's fine. I was expecting all four of you, especially [WIZARD NAME].
Noot: How do you know their name?!?!
Harmony Golem (Earth Mode): Harmony told us. We only expected [WIZARD NAME] at first, but then we were warned of all three of you later.
Noot: Warned? What do you mean warned?
Harmony Golem (Storm Mode): We misspoke! What we really meant to say was that we, Harmony, is or are still struggling to keep a balance between the elements.
Harmony Golem (Storm Mode): We are one and the same, Noot. We work with each other and are of each other at the same time.
Harmony Golem (Water Mode): Don't be silly. We have news to bring to you about us, I mean Harmony, that has a great deal to do with everyone in the world.
Noot: And that is?
Harmony Golem (Water Mode): Harmony gave up a hundredth of their powers to the Wardens nearly a hundred years ago and allowed them access to the Warden Keystones.
Harmony Golem (Water Mode): All five of them are back in their place, I assume?
Noot: Yes. With our brave wizard's help, of course.
Harmony Golem (Water Mode): And the Wardens have been reunited, correct?
Noot: Everyone except the Astral Warden. She's been missing for too long!
Harmony Golem (Ice Mode): I can fix that.
Harmony Golem (Fire Mode): No! Let me tell the wizard!
Harmony Golem (Earth Mode): Please, be quiet! Let Ice break the news.
Harmony Golem (Ice Mode): Thank you, Earth. Let me have a moment to track her location...
Harmony Golem (Ice Mode): Ahah! She's...oh, oh no...
Ulla: What?
Harmony Golem (Ice Mode): I can't quite find her. Her life force is...undetectable.
Ulla: You can't be serious.
Noot: NO!
Harmony Golem (Ice Mode): I'm afraid she's gone.
Noot: SHE DIED?
Harmony Golem (Ice Mode): No, she might be out of range. I can only sense the life force of people on Prodigy Island and Harmony Island, not on any of the floating islands high above or any of the islands too far out to the west or north.
Ulla: She must be far, far away.
Noot: No. She swore to me that she would never die. Never ever!
Ulla: But she could be hiding somewhere else!
Noot (very upset): NO, NO, NO! She could be gone forever! She's not at the Academy.
Ulla: Noot, she could still be alive. Let's just ask ourselves more questions to sort this out.
Noot: Is there anything else we can do?
Harmony Golem (Storm Mode): Actually, I can tell you a little more. Can I distract you with the story of the hidden elements?
Noot (sobbing): Yes, please.
Harmony Golem (Storm Mode): A long time ago, the Order of Influence was especially angry at the Earth and Storm elements, which proved to be the most in balance at the time.
Harmony Golem (Storm Mode): So he marched his army of feral beasts to Firefly Forest and broke the earth in two, sending corruption into the molten rock below the island that separated plants from rocks.
Harmony Golem (Storm Mode): He then flew to Skywatch, reversing all of the weather patterns and ripping up any semblance of wind and air from the Storm element.
Harmony Golem (Wind Mode): So the Puppet Master created little old me!
Harmony Golem (Land Mode): And me!
Harmony Golem (Storm Mode): And that backfired, in the end. He created such a great change to the elemental balance that it became even more balanced in the end!
Harmony Golem (Storm-Corrupt Mode): So he made all of the Wind and Land monsters extinct.
Noot (shocked): Really? I was never told about this!
Harmony Golem (Storm-Corrupt Mode): This happened before the Academy was founded. In your lifetime you would have never seen any wind or land creatures.
Noot: I think I'm all better now.
Ulla: Thank you, golem. I think Noot and the wizard are growing weary of your tales. No offense.
Harmony Golem (Earth Mode): I am glad that we could be of service. We hope you eventually heal and, in time, feel better.
Ulla: I hope to see you again! Goodbye!
- The wizards, Mosstropod, and Noot leave. The surface is raining a little.
Ulla: I'll be back by Lamplight Town. I really have to go. That was...interesting.
Noot: I *sniffles* will see you soon.
