FL> lol just came up with this Hope.Hope would know what to do.The door to his older sister's room was cracked open, and the boy pushed it open. "Hey, Hope?" Jax asked, walking into his older sister's room. With a little white and orange dragon curled up next to her, the redhead was sitting on her bed, her knees bent upwards, a pencil in hand, and a red and pink notebook gently resting against her thighs. ...or at least it was. The second Hope heard her brother's voice, the notebook went flying towards the far corner of the room and the pencil followed suit. Scarlet instantly jolted awake, springing up and snapping her head back and forth in an attempt to identify a threat. All she saw, however, was a wide-eyed Hope with bright red cheeks, a very startled Jax, and a tiny mark on the corner of the far wall where an open spiral notebook laid face down. The Luma-Embershed hybrid huffed and curled back up, quickly dozing off. Hope glanced at Jax, then Scarlet, then Jax again. "Heyyyy, Jax," she said sheepishly, failing her attempt to act normal. "What's up?" Jax blinked. "Uh, well, I need...advice." Hope tilted her head. "Like what?" "Um, well, I want to tell a...friend something, but I'm worried it might...ruin things between us." Hope's brow furrowed, the girl connecting her own set of dots together. The girl suddenly gasped, and a wide grin spread across her face as her eyes quite literally lit up. She quickly shifted over to the side of her bed and tapped her left palm on the red sheeted mattress, signaling for her brother to sit next to her. Jax walked over to his sister and plopped down next to her, slightly dampening the sheets and mattress. Hope didn’t care, instead excitedly smiling at him. Jax squinted at his sister as her left eye glowed painfully bright, while a green glow could be seen behind the purple fabric covering her right. “Hope, your eyes,” Jax spoke through watery eyes. “O—oh sorry,” Hope apologized, rubbing her eyes and blinking before turning back to Jax. “I’ve just been waiting forever for this!” “You…have?” “Okay, maybe more like 12 years, but still!” “Since you were...five?” “Six. I rounded up a year. But don’t try to change the subject!” Jax blinked. “I mean, it took a lot longer than I would have liked, but I’m glad you’re finally here!” “Here...where?” “Ready to tell Aurora that you like her!” “Wha—that’s—” “Ah, don’t be so worried. You and Aurora will be great together!” “Hope!” “Okay, fine, fine. Just tell her how you feel.” “Hope...” “Don’t worry, it doesn’t have to be some grand gesture,” Hope stated, practically leaping off her bed. She turned around and pulled Jax’s arm, tugging him off the bed. “I’m sure she feels the same way!” Hope exclaimed excitedly, now pushing her brother out the door. “But Hope—” “Stop worrying so much, Jax, it can be as simple as you want! Although if you want my personal suggestion, ask her if she wants to hang out, choose a relatively private, quiet space she’ll like, and tell her!” “Ho—” “No, no more ‘Hope’ing me, Jax. You won’t get anywhere if you keep stalling here. Now get out there and just do it!” Hope exclaimed encouragingly. Before Jax could say anything else, the door shut on him. Great. Guess I’ll just have to add this to the list of stuff I need to clear up, Jax thought to himself. “Jax, I know you’re still there, get moving!” Hope called out from the other side of the door. Startled, Jax quickly scurried off.
