The Mountain Update is an update for Prodigy English that adds a tall mountain to the island chains that compose the village (to the northeast). This mountain contains new materials, NPCs, and features.
Overview[]
In order for the player to access it, they must first access the other islands in the chain through bridges. At arriving, the Unnamed Wishie uses a "Link Spring" - a special body of water where Wishies can teleport to in order to interact with others - to instruct the player further. The player must then construct a way to climb the mostly flat face of the mountain, eventually reaching a rundown, seemingly abandoned village. There they meet a notably anxious Wishie name Dewdrop, who requests the players help.
With time, the player will be able to befriend some of the Moth Fae, another type of magicless race that lives on the island. After helping them restore their village and make communications with the humans below their mountain, it'll be possible to explore a new area unlocked in "The Sea Update."

- Colton - A Moth Fae who introduces the player to the varying items of the Mountain, occasionally hinting at the lore of the villages.
Daily NPCs[]
- Trix - A moth faerie who leans towards orange in coloration. She's very friendly, mentioning to have a cat which she needs to build a toy for.
- Neo - A darker colored moth fae who mentions to be intrigued in alchemy, an art from another land.[Note 1] They often ask for sticks and flowers, as well as the occasional silver alloy.
- Daisy - A moth fae who's near white in coloration. She's a bubbly person who often asks for flowers.
To be expanded.
Notable Features[]
Link Spring[]
The Link Spring is a feature added that allows the player to communicate with any Wishie they have met, receiving quests from some and wishes from others. The Link Spring is located at the base of the Mountain.
Stone Stairway[]
Located with the help of the Unnamed Wishie. Some stair steps have to be crafted, but do not have to be recreated afterwards.
Ravenwood Tree[]
A tree that the players can receive Wood and Dark Wood from.
Silver Ore[]
An ore that the player can obtain Stone and Silver from. By rare chance they can also obtain Silver Alloy.
Glider[]
A (currently) cosmetic item that can be equipped in the accessory slot. It is composed of a brown, moth patterned material that resembles leaves placed together as "feathers." It is given you by Colton and Dewdrop after completing a certain amount of quests.
Moth[]
A buddy that can be equipped in the accessory slot. It's a small moth that leaves a trail of fading dust behind the player, described by Dewdrop as "a peculiar little thing that has no interest in lamps, only people." It has two special animations - one where it flies in a "loopy-loop" and the other where it rests on the ground before flying back up to follow the player.
Flower Box[]
Once interacted with, the player can plant up to five flowers of their choice, which will grow into harvestable material. Harvesting them takes up the same amount of energy as harvesting five flowers. The action bubble for this furnishing is a handheld spade.
Seeds[]
Flowers now have a chance of dropping their respective seed/bulb when the stem is dug out.
Lilies[]
A white flower the player can obtain Weeds, Lilies, and Lily Seeds from.
UI Alterations[]
Accessories[]
In the clothing section of the players inventory, a slot is added to the top right. This allows the player to add one additional cosmetic item that is not a form of vestment to their avatar.
Interactive Furnishings[]
When interacting with certain furnishings, a special "action button" displays the action you can perform with the item.
Tasks[]
A new, map & quill icon is added to the right of the hot bar. This allows the player to complete additional area specific tasks (other than daily goals). Tasks are randomized and can be completed multiple times, but there are three quest-specific ones that can only be completed once.
Permanent Tasks[]
These are part of the Chores! quest and can not be completed again.
- Expert Architect: Repair all 5 of the houses. (Reward: 50 Wishcoins)

Welcome to the Mountain[]
Player: That's a tall mountain...
Unnamed Wishie: But there's a way up!
Player: How did you get here?
Unnamed Wishie: The Link Spring.
Player: ...what?
Unnamed Wishie: Follow me!
As the player follows, the Unnamed Wishie continues to explain.
Unnamed Wishie: The Link Spring is a place for me to meet up with my friends and family anytime I wish - I can even travel to other wells using it, but the other Wishie wouldn't like it very much...
Unnamed Wishie: Anyhow, I can use it to talk to you whenever you need help! There's plenty of Link Springs across the nearby island chains, but the Link Spring for your island chain is right here!
The player and Unnamed Wishie arrive at the Link Spring, which is a sparkling pools of water with a curious aura. Water flows into it from nearby and there's elegant designs in the stone bordering the water.
Player: Wow...
Unnamed Wishie: Pretty neat, huh? You can talk to any Wishie you've met using it.
Player: But I've only met you, and I don't even know your name yet!
Unnamed Wishie: Well, I have my reasons for that. Thankfully, you don't need to know my name to contact me, but...
Player: But what?
Unnamed Wishie: Nevermind. I should probably show you the way up the mountain before going back to your well.
The player follows the Unnamed Wishie once again, this time arriving at a mossy stairway cut into the mountain.
Unnamed Wishie: A few of the steps are broken, but I'm sure you can fix it!
Unnamed Wishie: But of course, you'll need instructions. This should do the trick.
The player receives the recipe for Stone Step.
Unnamed Wishie: See you later, and good luck!
The player can proceed at their own pace, constructing the item "Stone Step" and interacting with the broken steps in order to exchange a Stone Step to repair it. This permanently changes the world so that the steps are repaired, meaning the player only has to repair each step once. After completing the task, they can continue up the mountain.
Ghost Village[]
Upon entering the radius of the rundown village, the dialogue starts up again.
Player: What happened to this place?
Player: It seems like a ghost town... or rather, ghost village.
Player: Hm? Is that another well?
The player approaches the well.
Player: Huh, maybe if I throw in a Wishcoin a Wishie will show up?
The player is presented tow options "Throw in Wishcoin" and "Later." If they select "Later" they may interact with the well to trigger the dialogue once again. This allows them to pause their quest progress to work on other tasks.
After the player throws in a Wishcoin, a blue and white schemed "rainbow" appears similar to when the player met the Unnamed Wishie.
???: H-huh? Who's there?
Player: Sorry if this is a weird question, but are you a Wishie?
Dewdrop: Oh um... yes I am. My name's Dewdrop, if you're wondering.
Player: So you grant wishes?
Dewdrop: N-no. I'm way too busy for that. So busy I haven't been able to take care of the village...
Player: So this village belongs to you?
Dewdrop: Well, I suppose, but I wouldn't really call it my village since other people live here.
Player: People live here?
Dewdrop: Well, they do, but they're not here at the moment. Most likely busy foraging.
Player: Foraging?
Dewdrop: You ask a lot of questions. In other words, looking for food. We've tried to grow crops but the conditions aren't quite right. I wonder if...
Player: Um...
Dewdrop: ...maybe if...
Player: Hello?
Dewdrop: ...it might work but wouldn't...
Player: Dewdrop?
Dewdrop: ...yet if I infuse...
Player: DEWDROP!
Dewdrop: ACK! Sorry, did I zone out on you?
Dewdrop: I'm guessing you're wondering about the village, aren't you?
Player: Sure am.
Dewdrop: Well in that case, do you mind doing me a few favors? After helping out you might earn the villager's attention, they're a bit of the shy type so don't feel offended if they don't approach you right away - but when you earn their trust, they'll gladly tell you all you need to know.
Dewdrop: Anyhow, I need to go - if you need something to do, just visit my well.
Dewdrop leaves and a map with a quill icon is added to the hot bar. Once interacting with the hot bar, three tasks are displayed. These tasks can be completed at any time but can only be done once. The player receives Wishcoins for every task completed.
Chores![]
Complete the following task:
- Expert Architect: Repair all 5 of the houses. (Reward: 50 Wishcoins)
- Budding Economic: Repair the "Ghost Village's" Market Stall. (Reward: 10 Wishcoins)
- Spruce it up!: Add one furnishing to the village. (Reward: 5 Wishcoins)
The Land of Butterflies[]
Player: All done!
A person moves on screen, only to run out of view.
Player: Who was that? And why did they run away...
Player: Well, Dewdrop did say the villagers were a bit shy, maybe I should ask her for advice.
The player may interact with the well at any time they please, prompting the following dialogue.
Dewdrop: Who—What—Where—When—How???
Dewdrop: Oh, it's you.
Dewdrop: Wow the village looks great... I'm guessing you finished my requests?
Player: Sure did! I saw one of the villagers like you said, but they ran away...
Dewdrop: Sound's like they're being shy...
Dewdrop: Hm... I know!
The player receives a recipe for "Butterfly Feeder" and "Flower Box."
Player: ...what is this for?
Dewdrops: Some of the villagers love butterflies. And moths, but that's another matter. If you add things that attract butterflies, you're sure to make them happy!
Player: Sounds easy enough, thanks Dewdrop.
Dewdrop: You're welcome! Oh, and I have a few new tasks for you - drop by when you have the time!
Gardening[]
This is an open world task and is completed after placing a Flower Box or placing a Butterfly Feeder. It will trigger the following soliloquy:
Player: Here we go. Time to head back to Dewdrop!
The player may complete this at anytime, but it is necessary to continue with the quest progress.
