The Order of Influence |
“ | I have never cared about the people I meet. They're as obviously ruined by the Shadow element as I am. It's eternally exciting to watch them waste away as they continue to writhe in debt to me. | ” |
— The Puppet Master

The Order of Influence is a fanon group for Prodigy. The group appears in Forged by Obsidian, Dargon's Bane, and non-canonically in various other fanfictions and roleplays.

Culture[]
The Order of Influence does not precede the introduction of the Shadow element, just like in canon Prodigy.
Nobody knows when the first dark wizards converged to practice Shadow magic, but it began several resets of elemental balance ago. The Ancient had a flaw that prevented them from stopping their deeds: the primordial elements controlled by Harmony were both necessary to maintain the Astral and Shadow elements. Without the five primordial elements, the world of Prodigy would cease. Resets soon became pointless because members of the Order would be able to let Shadow magic continue to corrupt more individuals over time.
The Puppet Master was the only member of the Order of Influence to survive each reset due to his corrupt, lich-like properties. He would quickly learn to take actions that would make it very difficult to stop him, making sure that it would take the Ancient many resets before they tired out. The narcissist in purple, under unknown motivations, continued this petty quest to hold great power and significance by sealing the Ancient in their slumber to prevent them from resetting, full-sending the Epics into a state of limbo, using a mighty Shadow Blast to set off the schedule of the Academy to the point where they had to cancel school indefinitely, and summoning great creatures out of corrupted crystals to guard every critical point on the map.
So far, the Order of Influence is led by a purple-loving, power-hungry hive mind, dark wizards and constructs that he promises the freedom of if they do work, and the lich's semblance of a family.
Weapons/Gear[]
Each member of the Order of Influence was equipped with self-made gear and weapons. For example, the Puppet Master stiched his own clothing and carved his staff from a peculiarly long branch of deadwood.
Abilities[]
Most members of the Order of Influence possessed the Shadow element and have the ability to cast shadow element spells. Other than that, members were endowed different inherited abilities and those the learned within the dark council.
Strengths and Weaknesses[]
For those of the Shadow element: The Shadow element is weak against:
- Astral entities/spells
This element is powerful against:
- Earth entities/spells
- Ice entities/spells
- Storm entities/spells
- Fire entities/spells
- Water entities/spells
This element is neutral against:
- Shadow entities/spells
Most of the members are haughty and prideful, and often mess up their own plans in acts caused by hubris.
Trivia[]
- The location of meetings between members is always held in secret.
- The majority of the first people to be corrupted by shadows were presumed to be purely wizards.
- Existing members of the Order of Influence do not know of the Void substrand, or the Void location, in this canon.
