The Underworld is an area on the Prodigy Math Game map. It allows players to interact more closely with mice than in the Academy Sub-Basement, have more practice in harvesting from natural resources before playing Prodigy English, and take time to explore the lore behind how the island functions without a lot of adult wizards.
Overview[]
The Underworld is much more than a hole in the ground; it has so many features and story behind it!
Appearance[]
It is located in the shaded area of the boreal forest underneath the floating island of the Academy with an extensive quarry and mining system showing bare shafts and ravines. In its icon of the Island Map, players see just the surface of the Underworld; it, of course, extends far underground to shafts and populated units where mice inhabit.
In-Game Description[]
- The location does not appear with the Academy and is hidden as a part of it when clicked on before the player is invited to the Academy by Gale.
- The following is the flavor text that appears when the Academy is accessible, but the Underworld is not:
"The mysterious mining tunnels found directly underneath the Academy. It looks abandoned, and it may be too dangerous for you to go there."
- The following is the flavor text that appears when the area is accessible:
"A mice-operated mining and research center that lies almost entirely underground. Because the area extends far into the deep reaches of Prodigy Island, it is expansive and one of the largest locations."
