FourSevensRueful Version |
Trading is a fanon feature for Prodigy.
Overview[]
Players that interact with the Q&A Machine in the Nesting Grounds can access questions relating to trade as well as the trading interface itself. By clicking on the machine and pressing the "Trade" button, they are met with several options:
- "Trade With a Friend"
- "Trade Randomly"
- "Trade Using the PTS" (or Prodigy Trade/Trading System)
- "QUIT" (this brings the player back to the screen where they can choose to quit the entire Q&A Machine or ask questions instead)
Trade With a Friend[]
If players would like to accept a trade with a friend that already formed a trade request, they will see a red circle with white text representing the number of requests next to the respective individuals in a popup of their scrollable friend list within the interface. Players can have a maximum of 10 requests with other players outside of the PTS, so anything greater than 10 requests of a person to another is to be reported as abuse.
If the player proceeds to view the trade requests (within a single individual, the requests can be scrolled between through scrolling or dragging) where what the friend wished to trade is at the top and what the player must trade in return is at the bottom. They can deny the request, accept the request by attaching the object(s) that they need to fulfill the trade and confirming the transaction, or quit the person's set of requests to look at other ones.
Players can also make trade requests with their friends by attaching the object(s) that they wish to unload onto their friend and giving their friend a reasonable request of object(s) in return. They can confirm the request, and rescind the request at any time before it is denied or fulfilled. Once a trade is fulfilled, however, nothing can happen besides the player receiving what they requested in their Mail outside of the interface.
Trade Randomly[]
Players that wish to trade with another person randomly can choose to trade for something: a pet, a buddy, or a single equipment item, but they cannot specify the exact details they want of the pet, buddy, or equipment item. Players can attach either a pet, buddy, or single equipment item to their own trade, and until a trade is fulfilled, the player must wait or press the CANCEL button at the bottom right of the interface. If the player receives something, they will immediately be provided it in their Mail after Noot says "It looks like your trade went through. Pick the contents up in your Mail!"
Trade Using the PTS[]
The PTS allows players to deposit or withdraw their own trading requests, deposit the successful trades they made with a random player, or fulfill the trade requests of other random players. Within the system, players will automatically get notified if their own request was fulfilled and Noot will repeat the previous voice line. The person that fulfilled the trade request remains anonymous.
Players that wish to deposit or withdraw their trading request (only one per player is allowed at a time on the PTS) can do so immediately after pressing the Trade Using the PTS button. They can also view their trade request, meaning their desired transaction, if they so choose. Within the PTS, players can trade between the same type of property or request a pet for a buddy, a pet for an individual, and a buddy for an individual item. No transactions are member-locked even if the trades of their contents are considered member-locked on their own.
Players that search for a desired pet, buddy, or individual item can do so by searching and then entering the letters and fulfilling the autofill for the property of their choice. Once they enter their search, they will view other players' trade requests so that the player can receive the desired property at the cost of one object of their own property. While normal players with requests remain anonymous, giveaway NPCs will have their name and "happy" chat icon available, letting players know that the transaction is Prodigy-endorsed. Players that wish to fulfill the request of PTS entries can click on them, enter their own property, confirm the property's sendoff, and wait for Noot to state that the requested property is in their Mail.
What Players Cannot Trade[]
Players cannot or are legally disallowed to trade the following properties:
- Fanon Pets, Buddies, or Equipment Items
- Any Epics (pet or buddy form)
- Hacked or Stolen Properties
Buddy Giveaways[]
Itty Bitty Bat[]
Itty Bitty Bats with a single, non-wild-type sex-linked trait can be traded for a Sprite. These are the traits that wizards can obtain for the Itty Bitty bat of their trade:
- Male bat
- Female bat
- Color deficient bat
- Blind bat
- Eyeless bat
- Bat with cyclopsy
- Saber-teeth bat
- Gums-only bat
Improving Gameplay[]
Allowing players to exchange a pet, buddy, or between one and four equipment items permits players to receive and transfer their objects and property easily. It also allows for the greater development and enjoyment of the game because most players will be able to indirectly access pets, buddies, and equipment that are normally members-only.
Math Factor[]
To obtain pets, buddies, and equipment items in the first place, players often must have to battle for them. This, in turn, requires answering mathematics questions correctly.
Trivia[]
- Gifting is performed by giving a high-level item in trade while sending a low-value item back as the receiver. The Caster Clam is very common to receive after battles in chests, so it may be easy to send that as a receiver of a gift.
- The Prodigy Trade/Trading System (PTS) is more desirable than trades between friends because players can more easily get what they want for what other people are willing to provide in return.
- Players can also trade up between tiers of pets, buddies, and equipment items by using the PTS to trade up in value over small increments.
