The Heart of Ice[]

V1[]

Okay, so I want to do something antoganistic with Aly REALLY badly.

Aly's helping Greenie out when he notices her acting... off. As if she's hiding something. He questions her about it, but she disregards it.

She starts using the last name Icetalon instead of Flameheart, alarming Greenheart, then a while later she vanishes with only a note. Misunderstanding the note and thinking something happened to her, the gang set out to find her... only to encounter the hostile remnant of the Ice Warden.

She lets them off with a warning, saying "I never been the person you thought I was," before leaving again.

Upon encountering the group again, she this time injures one of them, causing Greenheart to begin to suggest that they go back. Yet they decide that they can't leave an insane Ice Warden on the loose.

But she's not insane.

She has no hidden motives either.

The Heart of Ice... really does turn your heart to ice.

It was never his family's death that lead to Edur's insanity... it was the heart.

And now it's turning her against them.

Point of the RP?
In short, destroying an artifact dating back to the Faen war BEFORE Aly kills them all.

V2[]

An Ice Fairy sat on the window seat of the Academy's private common room, a book in her lap - yet they weren't reading it. The blue-haired fairy was instead palming a small crystal heart tied to a faded string, fighting back tears.

"You promised..."

"I know I did," the ghost of an ivory responded, but it went unheard by the Ice Warden.

"Ian, if that's you, leave me alone," the fairy snapped, clearly unable to tell which ghost was attempting to interact.

Nearby, the the mentioned ghost was watching the interaction, sighing at his peer's failed attempts to get a response.

The Ice Fairy went back to palming the object, their grief being reflected by the crystal's shiny exterior. The Heart of Ice was a seemingly harmless object, but anyone who's seen it in use knows better. The object can can change the weapon of the wielder to any tool they chose - yet it came at an unknown cost, fragments of a person's sanity. It was possible to slowly restore what was taken, but in a fairy such as the current wielder, there came a point when all hope was lost - when homicidal turns to worse.

The fairy's thirst for vengeance, their now unburning anger at the elemental that caused that untimely death, was gradually speeding up the process.

The hourglass had been set the minute she touched the heart, and now the final grains of sand were making their way to the bottom.

What faith could there be for a hopeless case?

The Mountain[]

Prodigy English RP, yes it's based off "The Mountain Update"
Human Characters: Jayden, Layla, Fiona, Chris, and Dan (+X's characters)
Faerie Characters: Colton, Tria, Skylar, Raven, and Leaf
Wishie Characters: Sunny (Unnamed Wishie) and Dewdrop (Mountain Wishie)

Five friends sat in front of a small house, boredly watching the well in font of them. Around them was a well tended village with a playground, gardens of all sorts, a "yard," and a market nearby. A few trees and rocks littered the unkempt area, flowers peeking out of the untilled ground as acorns and twigs hit their targets.

A few birds circled lazily high up in the sky, never daring to get close to the barren village - the only sign of life besides the children.

One of the friends, an older male, sighed exaggeratively, "This place is boring."

"We know," the other four chorused.

The younger red-haired female fiddled with a branch, "When will our parents come?"

"No idea," answered a different boy, the middle aged one, "but I hope it's soon."

The older boy spoke again, "I wonder what's it's like outside this place..."

A different girl then the first replied, "Our parents know. We can ask them when they get back."

"But we don't know when they'll be back, or what they're doing for that matter. For all we know they're dead."

"Jayden," snapped the older girl.

"The literally told us not to leave the village because it's 'safe here.' Why would they be so concerned about us exploring if the island is unpopulated? If there's something dangerous that made them have to leave, isn't there the possibility something killed them?"

Silence was the only answer he received.

The Desert[]

The kids still don't know why the adults of Prodig-E are disappearing, so they're go to Teqnac, a vast desert island beyond the Prodig-E island chain. When they arrive, they run into Augelmir, an **adult** fae, which from their perspective, confirms the rumors that Teqnac might have something to do with the adults.
Unfortunately it eventually turns out that Teqnac (like the island of Prodigy), are unaffected.

A day before the group had arrived at the desert island, the one Raven called "Teqnac."

The Summoning[]

Celestial's brought back into existence, sh*t goes down with Astral.

"Fire, I need you to help me with something."

The question had seemed harmless, and the question afterward even more so.

"Can you remind me... what Celestial was like?"

Not long after, the question had been asked to Ice, then to Earth, Storm, and Water. She asked more questions, manipulating, pulling the strings, forming something with the power and emotions of the elementals.

The balance of the island began to experience a slight shift, one that no one noticed.

A few days later, Astral became absent from Harmony Island, trapped in the ruins they haunted at night. Towering above them were birch trees of record height, extending hundreds of feet into the air.

On the isles nearby, two unknown objects began to manifest.

The balance continued to shift.

On a desert miles away, a group discovered their fire turned to sun, and those without gained. Up in the mountains, creatures of the night felt an ancient power, one they lost many generations ago.

Two tribes stopped dying, two reclaimed what they lost.

These changes kept occurring.

Weaknesses and strengths became more potent, beginning to alter.

A former deity discovered a new power, while a current one started hearing more whispers.

The past began to restore.

Islands that sunk began to rise, ruins that had been hidden were being found, and stars had begun to be reborn, dotting the night sky.

The universe had been reverted.

A second, smaller moon became visible, an ancient tale remembered. The dragons of sun and moon discovered a lost power.

The stone god who roamed the jungle had become aware of a new presence.

Twin elementals had been born.

The world's balance was not falling apart, rather, it seemed to be fixing itself. All while the queen of darkness continued to pull the strings.

Sailors mentioned something odd happening at the Island of Astral, of a curious aurora drifting from the forest and isles, forming, concentrating, above the three.

An immortal fey discovered his bow had reclaimed its power, a warden realizing similar.

Within the aurora, something had formed.

Curled in fetal position was a long-dead elemental.

But they weren't dead anymore.

AR - The Timelord[]

Alternate reality where Storm completes his original mission (grant the Alphian's remote control over dimensions+timelines).

Timelord (Storm) notes:
*He never go to know the gang, and frankly, only views them as variables that need to be eliminated
*He acts...a lot less human.
**He addresses other beings as variables, all ordered depending on threat level (determined by their ability to impact the timeline)
**If he feels guilty at all, he fails to express it, being nearly as apathetic as Void
*He gets along with Cero in this set of timelines
*He hacked the CONSOLE and rivals the entities themselves
**Besides temporarily kicking him out of timeline, they're unable to eradicate him. This is due to him being native to a non-Prodigian dimension.

Plot:
The gang, deciding they're finally sick of being stuck in a time experiment, decide to act against the "timelord." However, as punishment for even considering the idea, they're trapped in a timeloop where they have to relive the same day, over and over...albeit it can be slightly altered depending on what they did the previous reset.
In order to take down the timelord, they need to locate and overpower him before the end of the the day...or they can surrender and hope to be released from the anomaly.

Footsteps ring out as a figure approaches, their features concealed by the shadows. One could only describe their current location as an empty void, eternal darkness spreading in all directions. Occasionally, there would be a purple or cyan flash, but the light was quickly swallowed up.

The footsteps grew louder, and one was forced to look up. A faint outline of a coat was visible, flowing with ever step. A soft violet glow shone, causing something to glint, and one became increasingly aware of the figure's almost-mechanical limp, as well as...

Vomit coated the floor in response to the disturbing image, the image of scorched bone protruding from flesh, intertwined with strips of jagged metal. The image of the glassy eye, with that horrifying, living thing curling within it. The image of the burnt, miscolored flesh coating their body.

When one was done retching, the figure crossed their arms, "Disappointing. Another variable that can't handle my appearance."

Variable? And what happened to you?

One found that one could not speak, only think. They could move their mouth, but not a word escaped it. Somehow, though, the scarred figure seemed to have know one's thought, yet provided no answer.

The figure's long gray hair swayed as they tilted their head, much like a dog, to observe one, "To think you planned to get rid of me. It's ironic, how factually, you can't even look at me without failing."

Get rid of you? Why would I—

"Your threat level has been reduced by twenty points, just like the others. Note that this is statistically generous." The gray-haired figure lifted an arm to their chin, "I believe I know the perfect punishment for you all."

Others?

"It is time for you to wake up, C̴̢̨̲̫͎̫̺̳̥̻̬͈̩͇̜̦̙̱͙͉̳̥̩̹̺̲̥̊͑̋̆̋̍̒̂̀́̋̎͂͐̚͘͠͠ḩ̸͎̻̠͕̲̻̜͓̪͍̪͈̙̳̟͍̑̋͆͌̃̈́̾̃̈́͋́ą̶̬̮̱͍̭͈̘̼͇̓̎̏͂̆̓͆͝ͅs̵̡͙̗̦̗̳̺̯͈͉̿͊͐͒͗͒͗̏͋̾̕̚̚͠ͅę̷̣̝̳̫̗̜̤̫̠̙̣̣̰̜̤̄͐̍̑̆̄̊͠."

Decided to make Chase the MC in this RP for sake of irony

If He Was Never There[]

RP where the gang (or Lane) was given an option to alter the past (in hope of giving everyone a better life) only to realize that their world would be insanely different

Gale notes:
*In one alteration, the gang request for Gale to EB-free, only for them to realize Gale wouldn't even be alive without it
*The gang meets Gale's sister (she was stillborn in main timeline)
*Shadow's Rising fails as Gale's not there to help the gang

Storm notes:
*In another alteration, the request for Storm to have never been in that fire
*Aly doesn't exist as Storm wasn't around for TCQ
*TCQ never occurred as the clock wouldn't have been in the Earth Tower
*Eternity's Gamble fails without Storm's tech knowledge

Void notes:
*In the final alteration, Void was never left in the Void and was instead taken back to the real world (to keep a close eye on him)
*Void develops emotional conscious and has...multiple existential crisis, amongst other things
*Gale is put in charge of bby Void, leading to Void being raised alongside Glace and being somewhat more well behaved
*Some of the gang (cough, Hunter/Jade, cough) refuse to believe Void's threat level has diminished under the Starhearts' care, and plan to kill him
**Long story short, Glace is also killed
**Due to Void's emotional conscious, he becomes much more dangerous than in the main timeline, as he is **pissed** that someone hurt Glace
*Void's worm form pops back into existence
*Glace is resurrected, but trapped in the void for reasons similar to RW
*Can't decide if Gale commits suicide or becomes a voidwalker

Plot:
After going through three alterations, they realized that their world would be screwed if they've never gone through their traumas and mistakes. By the third alteration, they need to find the person who allowed them to make the alterations, to begin with, and put things back the way they were before things are irreversible.

The young psuedo-elemental indifferently watched as Aly tended to its father's injuries, the Ice Fey occasionally casting a harsh glance in their direction. They didn't care for her despise for it, and they instead entertained themselves with the crayons Storm handed to it, finding the concept of coloring fascinating. It was strange to see such a variety of colors, especially since they've only ever seen blacks, purples, and...

They stared at the colors they've picked out, the same blacks and purples as the void. They glanced up at the fussing couple, at the grays, blues, and beiges that existed within their creation. Staring back down, they put the purple and blue crayons to the side, picking up the colors that matched the fey couple.

Perhaps they should explore this lack of monotony.

"Ignis. Terra. Gelum. Fulgur. Aqua."

They ducked behind Gale's legs, giving Dafeng the evil eye. The gray cat obliviously licked his paw, brushing off his failure to take down his prey...which ever so happened to be one of Void's tentacles. The toddler of a psuedo-elemental cradled the bitten, purple thing like an injured arm, which it essentially was, if you thought about it.

"Of all the things you could've been scared of, you're scared of cats?"

"It bit me!"

Gale simply sighed and shook his head, clearly too tired to make do with the curious situation. Instead he comfortingly wrapped his tail about Void, picking him up and holding the elemental out of the cat's reach. The psuedo-elemental seemed to appreciated the tail-hug, snuggling up in the fur and momentarily forgetting their new battle scar.

Time to find a band-aid, it seems.

"By my absolute zero are your powers consumed."

Void sat next to the Ivory, curiously watching the bundle in his arms. Gale had introduced the said bundle as "Glace," and the psuedo-elemental had quite bluntly compared Glace to a sack of potatoes.

The fey shook his head after he finally stopped laughing, his amber eyes sparkling with his amusement, "You elementals love calling infants potatoes, don't you?"

"What do you mean?"

"Astral said the exact same thing when he saw her."

"Hm...Astral's the yellow guy, right?"

"Correct," the fey glanced away from them when Glace waved a tiny fist and mewled, the tiny fey clearly wanting attention, "For a sack of potatoes you're rather feisty."

Void simply smiled, cuddling up next to the Academy Keeper, their shaggy mess of hair obscuring their vision. Gale curled his tail around the toddler, the fluffy ribbon having a comforting presence.

After a moment's pause, the Ivory spoke again, "Void, would you do me a favor?" At seeing the elemental perk, he continued, "If..." he shook his head, choosing not to continue that thought, "Would you keep Glace safe for me?"

"The unrelenting hunger plaguing the abyss shall not be satiated."

"It turns out Void isn't half-bad at being an older brother," Gale commented before taking a sip of his tea, his tail intertwined with Aly's.

Her eyes narrowed slightly, "I don't trust it. Look at what he did to you," she gestured to his scarred wings, "do you really expect him not to hurt Glace?"

"Well you clearly trust him enough, otherwise you wouldn't have left him alone with her."

"Storm's there, and he's a voidwalker. That doesn't count."

The Ivory hummed, "Hm, well, I don't know then. I do know he's doing a way better job than me."

"You have siblings?"

"That...is a long story." He took another sip of his drink before continuing, "Anyhow...he's a lot different from back then. I think it'll be okay."

"Different? He's not any different. Still the same old fishna."

"Aly-"

The voices cut off as the psuedo-elemental closed his third eye, essence stinging at the edge of his vision. Confused, he touched his face, staring at the the essence tear and listening to his sniffles.

"Void?" Storm's hand was on the toddler's shoulder, "Are you...crying?"

"Through ultimate nothing, I live to cast..."

He never forgot his promise to Gale.

Every time he heard a weird sound, felt a strange energy, he would run to Glace's side, unsure how to protect her but willing to do so. He would always be checking on things with omnipresent eye, but it would always show him...

Hateful comments flashed through his thoughts, the distrust, the anger, the fear. All he resentment held towards him would always be revealed, as if his eye only served to remind him he would never be wanted here, within the creation.

He didn't open his eye that night.

And he regretted it.

In the dead of night, when they were curled up in bed and tucked under the covers, it was not hard to mistaken one child for the other. It was not hard for the blade that was meant for him to plunge in the heart of another. Yet it did not take long for it to find the correct target.

Energy surged as the elemental raised his hand, hatred burning in the teen's violet gaze. The reality around him warped as a wyrm made of void essence formed, roaring as spell after spell was cast.

He would not fail this time.

Broken, Misfit Toys (Pre-PrE)[]

Basically, Shadow approaches members of the gang she's curious to experiment on. Eventually, she manages to gain the consent of some of the more...mentally unstable members of the group.

At first, recruited members only act a bit irregular, only to disappear one by one. The gang is sent into a panic as they think they're next, and wind up searching for those who gone missing...only to discover that Shadow isn't that not all of the disappearances were Shadow's doing.

Storm[]

Scissors in hand, the borg gripped a clump if his fur, having decided it was much too long to hide. The silky, brown and gray strands drapes over his fingers, being held against the metal of the closing scissors and...

...he stoped, leaving the fur uncut. His gaze drifted to the mirror, observing his shirtless, unhealthily thin, burnt, ugly form. At the swirling platting, at the scorched patches of skin that would never, ever heal.

They'd hate me if the knew, wouldn't they?

A bitter, humorless huff accompanied the thought, and he placed the scissors on the counter. Not long ago, the last time he did this, he'd convinced himself that perhaps some of the others would accept him as he was...

...but now a new reality pressed upon him, and his reflection only increased its weight. Not one, not two, not even three, but four tails flicked behind him, paired perfectly with his neck fur. Here, in the privacy of his own home, he could just be himself, but in the Academy...

He always had to keep them tucked, wearing clothing that would not only hide his scars but his inhuman, monstrous traits that plagued him. That's what he was, after all. A ηλεκτέρας; a half-monster from another world.

The tails weren't always there. Before it was just the fur, much easier to hide and undetectable by Chase's heat sensing. Yet know he had to avoid his former friend, knowing that the wrong question would lead to being exposed.

This would've never happened if he didn't take her offer.

An opportunity to somehow, just maybe, no, finally stop being a voidwalker. A chance to fix his broken pieces and just be normal. Perhaps even a chance...a chance to finally recover from that goddamned fire.

Yet, as he should've expected, the exact opposite of that happened.

He grabbed his shirt from the counter and pulled it back on, deciding not to cut his fur today. Perhaps he should just call in sick and call it a day.

A quick glance at the mirror showed that the fur was indeed infact visible, even with the turtleneck shirt

Yeah, he'll stay home today.

Maybe even forever.

Three[]

The cave was dark.

A steady drip of water recurred through the shadows, echoing throughout each corridor and passage, resonating in a row of cells, carved into the walls of the cavern. Within them, doppelschläfer lay unmoving, their inanimate forms waiting to awaken. Yet simultaneously, they are not truly asleep.

Blue eyes snapped open, a sharp inhale accompanying the movement, quickly escalating into hyperventilating when they realized where they were.

They were back in the caves.

Back in the dark.

A prey waiting for her claws.

Soon, footsteps joined the water's melody, as if someone, somehow, knew they had woken up.

The steps stopped right outside their cell.

They felt a familiar, fearful whine bubble up, and they held their left arm close to the chest, using their right leg to push them further into the corner.

An instinctive response, something they would normally avoid but this wasn't a place of what you would do, this is a place of what you are.

And they were a creature of instinct, trying so desperately hard to pose as a human.

She approached their cell, smiling, "Well would you look at that, the little voidwalker is awake."

They offered no response—they couldn't—in this state of being they had no will over their actions aside from instinctive behaviors to certain events. Not like the others, the others who were allowed to retort and protest to their heart's content.

Yet they should've expected something like this when they agreed to be one of her toys.

She inspected them, her violet gaze observing the details of their being ever so carefully, of how they pressed into that corner, seeking the meager protection of those slanted walls.

"Hm…I think I'll let Agni play with you tonight," they stiffened, their eyes—mismatched shades of blue—fixing on her, "she's been complaining about not being able to perform tests herself, and she's quite curious about how your coming along with you…" she trails off, snapping her jagged, clawed fingers at trying to find the right word to describe their developments, "...perspective on reality. I'm sure she has something planned to see if you'll be capable of handling the next phase," she smirked, crossing her arms, her pale lilac skin glowing in the light of the Cordis that followed her around like an obedient puppy, "then you'll be a real time traveler. Wouldn't that be something?" Clearly having no regard towards their lack of ability to respond—nor interest in granting them that grace—she continued, "Of course there's a good chance you might just be a time watcher, hm, there's really no way of telling until we get this stage over with. Who knows, you might be able to handle more than five phases. But then again, to transcend to stage seven you'll have to say goodbye to those friends of yours…permanently." She let out a laugh, before a purple glow unlocked the cell and she stepped in. Teeth were bared in warning, but she dismissed the accumulating electricity and grabbed the creature by the wrist, dragging them out despite their attempts to run.

In a state of fear—of adrenaline—one can do things that one normally cannot do, but this was not the case with their paralysis in mind, and were instead dragged across the ground till the jagged stones tore into their skin, until they were out of the cell and she was able to concentrate enough to levitate them the rest of the way.

Yet the relief from the pain was brief, as they were dropped onto a stone table and yellow eyes fixed on them, an insane grin spreading across Agni's face.

"Oh! Is it finally my turn with the subject? Wait, is that blood?"

The woman scrambled to her feet, concern spreading across her face. Yet the concern was not expressed towards them, rather—"Miss Shadow! This a waste of potential samples and you know it!"

"You know as well as I do that I do not need to cut my subjects into pieces to analyze their biology, and I have no interest in feeding your pleasantries," she responded, her stared fixed on the dirty blonde…scientist.

Agni paid no mind to this, scrambling to grab vials to collect her samples—samples of the crimson, neurotoxic fluid—with no regard to the well-being of their specimen.

They couldn't really complain.

They had agreed to this.

Sure, there was the slightest bit of blackmail but even so…they…deserved it. Everyone they cared for was gone, and it was their fault.

So, when Agni had plucked out one of her scapes and decided she wanted to do another test regarding the composition of their body tissue, they but down the primitive instinct screaming at them to run, to fight, to do anything but bite down their screams of agony watch as the experimenter skinned them alive.

Their only response was to cry, knowing well that the acid tears carving their way down their face would invoke yet another procedure.

They were soon counting the hours, minutes, seconds left in that night.

Agni was approximately three hours, twenty-four minutes, and fifty nine seconds into her experiment when a lilac hand grabbed the pale, stopping the woman from inserting the sedative they dreaded.

"I need it awake."

It…

How suiting, for a creature like themselves to be referred to as "it." Dehumanizing of course, something they were used to, but it wasn't like they were really human to begin with.

They were far from that.

She grabbed a different needle, one that contained not sedative but something else.

They tried to move away from her but Agni had already restrained them, leading to them at most—pathetically—attempting to escape whatever it was, only to feel the needle slip under cut and injured flesh and—

Nothing.

The excruciating pain began to fade, and the creature's gaze met violet, trying to figure out intention.

She had given him a shot of painkiller.

Was there perhaps a trace of regret?

Strange…she had acted so smug earlier. Surely seeing them like this wasn't enough to sway her.

"Agni, I asked you to test vision depth before this. You've been wasting my time."

Ah, that made sense. She stopped Agni, not out of mercy, but due to having her own agenda—the regret was simply due to not having done it sooner.

As for the painkiller…that was just so they wouldn't be in so much pain that they couldn't focus. She didn't care about them at all.

At least…the test was simple. It didn't involve anymore torture, simply required then to shake or nod their head in response to the questions.

However, what did concern them was they shook their head so many times now that Shadow was becoming agitated. She was absolutely furious that things didn't work out quite the way she wanted.

They already knew that tomorrow night, they would be subject to her experiments rather than Agni's.

They barely recalled the rest of the night, only vaguely remembering being dragged back to their cell before their eyes began to droop…

…and opened to see the comforting sight of home. Pain flared throughout their body, but they knew that if they reviewed themselves the injuries from that night had long since scabbed over.

They gripped the sheets of their bed with their right hand as they pulled themselves up into a sitting position, catching sight of their reflection in the window.

A man with hollow, dull eyes stared back, trembling with each breath as if afraid that somehow, he'll be back in that horrible place if he closed his eyes for longer than a second. Tails curled around his waist in an attempt at comfort, but it only worsened his feelings of self-hatred and guilt.

When he strapped on his brace and pulled himself out of bed, he didn't hesitate in tucking the tails down a pant leg, still desperately trying to hide those parts of him that aren't and never will be human. A bat—Wattage—clambered onto his shoulder, chittering at him in concern but he ignored it, simply continuing with his morning.

It all really won't matter in the end.

It never did.

Rapid, desperate gasps resonated through the caves, ginger hair falling over sapphire eyes, darting widely. They had only sat down for a moment, intending to continue with their work after the aching pain died down, but they must've—they nodded off, slipping into their doppelschläferen instead of dreams.

And sitting in front was a familiar lilac form.

"Hello, Rai."

They didn't respond, gritting their teeth as another wave of pain washed over them. They tried not to move, knowing exceptionally well that their ailment would only worsen if they did so.

A violet gaze observed them, delicately tracing their form, "I see your symptoms haven't abated yet. Ah, well, I can always try something else."

Their eyes dilated in fear of whatever 'treatment' she or that wretched woman had come up with, one they knew all too well wouldn't work.

They weren't sure why she tried.

This illness of theirs was entirely an accident—being at the wrong place at the wrong time, something of that sort. It hadn't really been the reason they agreed to be here, but after discovering their predicament was a god's curse, well…

…they had no choice but to come to a god, even if it was one they despised.

"So how's the hallucination going?"

At this, their glare fixed on the figure, and they managed to grit out the words, "F-fine."

"Fine?" She sighed, "Well, that's expected. What I started with is…mild, not to mention very different from normal hallucinations. Replicating the mind is difficult, but as you know, a challenge I enjoy."

As she droned on about psychology and how it was critical to understand it to be able to fulfill their end of the deal, but they were no longer paying attention, their gaze instead fixing on the figure in the cell behind her.

There, laying rigidly was a familiar gray-haired figure, their tails curled around them not dissimilar to how a house pet would do. Blood stained the stone around them, barely visible in the faint light of the Cordis that followed her around, and they could see the scabs on their arms.

"W-what…" they breathed deeply, waiting for the pain to finally boil down, "What happened to Storm?"

"Oh, just Agni," Shadow replied dismissively, "I have to toss one of you to her every once in a while, you know."

The casualty caused their stomach to flip, their gaze fixing on the figure.

They weren't sure what was worse—what they went through down here? Or the fact no one noticed…or in Storm's case, cared.

That's probably the reason Shadow dragged him into this, the fact he had no will to preserve himself, and barely anyone left to worry for him.

They were lucky, they had someone who would care about them, to worry, but…

Their gaze drifted from Storm's cell to one on their left, holding a third doppelschläferen. A grey form resting before them.

…others weren't as lucky.

Amber eyes slowly opened in the darkness, highlighted by yellow sclera. Unlike the ones before them, they laid there in silence before they finally dared to inhale, pushing themselves into a sitting position. They had gone to bed earlier than the others usually did, and although they knew what that would lead to, they did not appear to care, simply moving to stand as they would rather walk than get dragged along the ground.

Violet eyes met their own.

“Good evening Shadow, I'm assuming you have some sort of horror planned for me?”

The lilac figure arched a brow, “Actually no, just some mana tests. I want to see how intricate your magic is, yet after that,” she inspected her claws, the dark violet keratin meeting her gaze, “Agni requested a turn with you.”

They showed no reaction to this.

It’s not as if they didn’t know what Agni would do to them, they just…didn’t care.

They knew she would scrape–perhaps even clip–their wings for fey dust, how she would torture them in illplaced hope for tears. They knew how she would slice open their flesh in the fascination of how it was grey on the exterior but pink–just like any other humanoid–on the interior. They knew how she would pull at their fur, tearing out clumps and forcing their mouth open to inspect the wickedly sharp canines, with no regard to how they could easily bite down.

They never did, though.

They expected old scars to be open, for dormant void matter to be extracted. They expected their fingers to be cut up to inspect the embedded claws, and made no plan on how to mend their deformed hands, as she cared not to relieve them of their pain but to study the curses of genetics. They expect her to destroy as much as they could, to leave them broken and shattered like a porcelain doll.

They would always just click into their mask of indifference, however, providing their torturer minimal entertainment. The voice and pain always fades away, and they would stare with dull and uncaring eyes.

The lilac figure finished with them soon enough, and iron shackles clinked as their toe claws clicked against the ground, their tail flicking back and forth progressed further into the deep and dark.

A few new scars didn't matter to them.

Not in contrast to the vast amount in the day.

The three doppelschläfer cycled through this, living through the day, dying through the night. They hid their marks from those who pry, and their scars from all but each other.

In the brief moments they say each other amongst the living, they made no acknowledgement, knowing that the wrong question, the wrong comment, could lead to the end of their suffering.

It's interesting, how they ran from their salvation. Yet they needed to fulfill their end of the bargain.

It was the only way…to keep the others safe.

Balance's Master[]

In short, Celestial takes an interest in the gang due to their experiences, leading to a series of shenanigans with the god of time

He's never seen such an interesting set of mortals.

A fey cursed with the powers of gods, a Warden without magic of his own, a warlock who desires to be a child, a psychic who wants to alter time, an exorcist who can't commune, a being from another world... the list went on and on, becoming more and more fascinating.

They were nearly as intriguing as the world itself, which had changed quite a bit in the past few eons.

"Libra?"

Harmony hummed at hearing the archaic name, which was only one of many, "Yes, Celestial?"

"Would you mind if I do some... investigating?"

"Don't die again."

A laugh, "I won't~"

And so, the group of misfit Wardens and companions discovered that Celestial was the only elemental who knew how to knock.

Cordis' Throne[]

Alge chaos!

A black essence drifted about their fingers, two of their eyes watching it wisp and coil, glow and pulse. They had a third eye, but they couldn’t exactly “see” out of that one, at least not in the way mortals could. It was the eye that allowed them to be omnipresent in this desolate plane of existence.

Their tattered clothing pooled around them, being disgraceful in the sense it made them appear as a ragged beggar than a god. Yet, they had to admit, the clothes were comfy.

They were once again sitting in the ruins of the Academy, purple mist shrouding the world outside their window. It was poisonous to mortals, allowing them to remain undisturbed outside of the occasional imprint.

They weren’t quite sure why they had an affinity for this spot, especially since their… “father” didn’t exactly have a good relationship with them.

Yet that wasn’t important, what mattered is that they found peace here.

Something clattered in the dark.

Out of panic, the wisp the pseudo-elemental was playing with became a blast of energy, quickly being diverted by whatever was in the shadows.

A familiar grey fey stepped out of the dark, letting out a hiss of annoyance, “Seriously? The big bad god is scared of the dark?”

“I’m not scared of the dark,” the elemental hissed back. Yet, they had let out a sigh of relief at seeing it was just Alge, “How come my eye didn’t see you?”

Normally, their eye would alert them to the presence of nearby beings, but for some reason, they didn’t see the voidwalker.

“Oh, that’s just my new trick,” Alge almost purred, clearly pleased with himself. His void scars let off a soft glow, illuminating his wagging tail.

Make that very pleased of himself. Normally the fey was too haughty to show off their feral side.

Yet…the pseudo-elemental couldn’t help but notice the new scars on the fey’s arm, which unlike the giant scar winding about his body, wasn’t filled with void essence.

“How many times did you fail?” Void ensured that their voice sounded smug, but rather, they weren’t quite smug about the fey. They didn’t want to admit it, but they were worried for him, mostly because he was their only ticket to repairing their relationship with their “father”… they still weren’t sure why they cared so much. They didn’t have a problem tormenting their family when they first came into existence. Perhaps this mortal form was affecting them.

“That’s none of your business,” Alge growled at them, prompting the elemental to bare their teeth at him. As per usual, it shut up the Ivory’s growling quite quickly.

“Hm… it’s not that difficult to find out,” one of Void’s tentacles snatched the fey’s arm, resulting in a strangled cry, “especially since you make quite a deal of keeping count.” It wasn’t hard to count the new scars—there were forty-seven of them. It wasn’t that hard to mask their concern with apathy either, “Took you longer than usual, I see.”

However, they received no response.

The fey was hyperventilating, their fur fluffed and fear pooling in their visible eye. It was at this moment the elemental remembered what happened to Alge’s other eye, leading to them releasing him.

Oh… he’s scared of me.

In the fey’s defense, having your iris peeled off was not a pleasant experience, and neither was acid being poured on the remaining pupil. The elemental really wasn’t good at handling situations without violence.

Even though they were feeling a bit guilty now, they couldn’t let that show, and instead acted nonchalant about the matter, “So, why are you here? And don’t tell me it’s because you want to challenge me again.”

Alge swallowed, quickly regaining his composure, “Actually, I’m here because I don’t need to challenge you.”

“That’s…impossible. You challenge me for authority over the Void, and right now it only responds to-“

The streak in Alge’s hair shone to an extent it hadn’t before, elemental energy concentrating to form six void tentacles and a third eye, mirroring Void’s own.

He tilted his head at the elemental, a disturbing smile working its way across his face, “To you?”

Reality tore apart.

A violet rift tore in the Academy, a periwinkle-skinned elemental being tossed out. They let out a groan, both tentacles and arms working to push themself to their feet.

“What are you doing here?”

They were immediately held at swordpoint, a familiar Ice Warden’s tail lashing at eye level.

“Don’t worry, I’m not here for your hubby.” They then added under their breath, “Actually I’m here for a little entitled piece of s**t.”

The Ice Warden’s ears pricked, clearly having heard that comment, “And may I inquire who that is?”

“I’ll answer that question if you would kindly stop considering impaling me and let me talk to my…dad. To put it into words.”

She blanched, tone as dry as the desert, “You have parents?”

“Along with two half-brothers, a half-sister, a two-thirds sister, and a Stepmother. Must I go into details? Especially since you’re the latter?”

The pseudo-elemental never thought they'd hear someone curse at them more than Shadow has ever done throughout their existence. In fact, the amount of foul vocabulary emitted by the Aly could’ve been its own distinct language.

Yet, despite the curse session the pseudo-elemental had just endured, all they said in response was, “Can I get up now?”

AR - Dawn of a Goddess[]

Instead of being defeated in Shadow’s Rising, Shadow succeeds in taking over the island. Due to how the island’s inhabitants are no longer corrupted, Harmony has not yet been pushed to reset the balance, but the gang must put an end to Shadow’s reign before it’s too late.

Notes:
*Gale’s health suffers due to EB and is heavily at risk of dying, thus allowing the exploration of EB’s side effects
*A chance to actually discuss Lucas’s five stages of grief instead of making him depressed and leaving it at that

….The arrow struck true, an arrow protruding from the creature's chest, Shadow's eyes widening in shock…

…only for them to narrow, a grin spreading across her face.

She had one last trick up her sleeve.

Astral was never a perfect element, easily being corrupted by a superior force. And Shadow ever so happened to be one of them.

It was at this moment she had the opportunity to obtain her dream, to overthrow the pathetic wisp of a god. To be the Goddess history has known her to be.

A violent surge of violet spiraled up to the elemental, the yellow essence of the arrow spreading through her form. In immeasurable pleasure, she threw her arms back, tilting her head to look at the ceiling…

…then ripped out the arrow, a flood of essence gushing from the wound.

Her horns elongated and changed, the essence about her materializing into condensed, physical form. Ears became more pointed and a long, qilin like tail lashes behind her, being long enough to almost touch the floor, despite her levitation. Wings broke free and beat their air, thousands of eyes decorating the membrane and staring at gathered. Where there was once a single pair of arms became three, each adorned with an eye in the hill of the thumb, and the sides of the elbow. Her crown seemed to shift, the infinity sign becoming more profound, becoming the hardest form of her eternity.

Her eyes were now yellow, a pair of tentacles curling behind her, a pair of pulsing, living, crystal-like objects hovering over her shoulders, along with an assortment of eyes.

The elemental's smile became more eerie as she tilted her head clockwise, resting her cheek on a lifted palm. Another arm pinched its fingers as if holding a violin bow, moving slowly through the air along to an imaginary tune.

When she spoke, her voice lacked its usual distortion, "This has been fun, but I'm afraid it's time to watch you fail." The distortion returned to her voice on the last word, a third, omnipresent eye snapping open…

…reality shattered.

Broken Clock, Shattered Heart[]

So...when is Raid going to tell Storm that Zyren frequents Prodigia?

Within the depths of a rift, a snake-like tongue flicked as a figure tsks, shaking their head in disappointment. A serpent-like tail lashes through the air, reminding of their adversaries of a whip.

"For 'time watchers,' you two do an awful job of it."

They glanced over their shoulder, reptile-like eyes narrowing, "Or should I just say you? Seeing one of you is an anomaly, after all."

"The jig is up, a**hole," the older of the two growled, brandishing their chrono crusher.

Electricity began to manifest about the younger's form, their visor flashing red. Aside them was a drone with an obnoxious smiley face on its digital interface, the LEDs buzzing out ever so often, "Hand over the clock, *kzzt.*"

A sly smile. "Oh, the little AI wants this?" They tossed a timekeeper hazardously into the air, catching it with their opposing hand, "Come and get it."

The time travelers took on the challenge, both prepared to strike the figure. Yet with every hammer swing, every punch, the humanoid serpent dodged and countered, their tail cracking and smacking the teen away, while they ducked and dove out of the way of the adult.

Their orange gaze filled with mischief as they tossed the timekeeper into the air again, leaving their opponents to move in a mad scramble…

…only to somehow appear right where it landed, catching the object once again.

"You little—"

"Oh come on Raid, we both know I'm taller than both of you," they flashed their fangs in a grin, "Now it's my turn." Static began to crackle, charging up to the point of lethality, "I'll make my terms simple: You let me leave, no one gets hurt. If you don't, I get to test how fireproof you are."

"Are you f**king insane?"

"I've pulled this trick off before, albeit this—" he opened the back of the clock, its cyan blue CSG glowing with its chemicals, "—is much less potent than last time."

Electrical arcs snapped in the air, threateningly drawing near the dangling battery.

The two's drone spun to face them, "Surrender, idiots. I'm *kzzt* risking my a** for you bastards."

"Oh so you volunteer?" Raid replied sarcastically.

"Of course not you *kzzt* *kzzt* *kzzzzzzt*."

"Are you two going to—" Wait…where did— "ΑΦΗΣΕ ΜΕ ΕΣΥ—"

The younger time traveler had the serpent-oid in a headlock, the clock being snatched from the figure's grip. In the distraction of being choked, the static dissipated, the figure struggling to get up and out of their opponent's grip.

For a moment, it seemed like they contained the threat…

…but the figure lived up to their appearances, biting their adversy's arm to force them to release them. A pained shriek resounded through timespace as the figure—and timekeeper—disappeared into a rift.

The clock, unlike its inferior existences, did not leave a copy.

"Cloud!"

The older dashed over to the younger, an ugly black mark spreading across the teen's arm. "F**k f**k F**K—"

.

.

.

The last thing Storm expected was to be worked up at three in the morning by Raid of all people. Scratch that, the last thing he was expecting was Cloud suffering from φίδιτέρας poison while he was in an entirely different dimension from where they lived.

Profound swearing echoed through the house as the crippled borg searched for his last dose of φίδιτέρας anti-venom, having dumped out the contents of most of his barely organized file cabinets.

If Cloud made it through this, the borg was going to unleash questions until hell freezes over.

AR - Divided[]

δ> ROTW but the Wardens are forced to live on their respective elemental islands and are punished for leaving.

It's been years since they last seen a human face.

Sure, there were those fey who visited ever so often, one checking on their health while the other...that wasn't important, what was important was the fact it wasn't the same as seeing the face of someone of the same species as you. They could visit the trainees...but they all seemed to pity them more than anything, and simply served as monotonous teachers, failing to fulfil their desire for company. Perhaps...they didn't desire to see someone of the same species, perhaps someone who...viewed them as more than just an asset—or in their worser moments, a vessel.

They gaze longingly up at the mountains of island, a steady glow being emitted by a gemstone. If only that Keystone hasn't chosen them, if only—

"What are you doing..."

...warden?

The embodiment of their element stood before them, expressions ranging from friendly smiles to to disappointed glares. The ghastly illusion of a gray fey stood not far behind them, the Keeper's true location unknown to them. A simple dismissive response is murmured to the pair, being dismissive to the fact they held the power of gods.

It was the power of gods that got them in this mess.

They heard that—centuries ago—wardens were allowed to roam as they pleased, despite calling the Academy home. Yet after one generation lost control...they were all banished here, tasked with subduing the elements when they barely control themselves, with the ancient Academy drifting over the sea, waiting for the day that the last of the Keeper's line passes without an heir.

They couldn't wait for it to fall to ruin.

For the day the palace plunged into the waves and the gems lost their luster...

...would be the day they're free.

AR - Malicious Compliance[]

FL> RotW but the Wardens are actually the villains and nobody knows until the final roleplay
δ> ROTW but everyone is evil

Notes:
I would feel like this is a built up psychological thing (i.e. the wardens originally wanted to help before eventually falling to their own devices). Perhaps one or two people didn't want to be dragged into this and try to stop the others?

-Trainees were evil first, snuck their ideals through lessons with the gang that were later reinforced by conflict.
-Some trainees (perhaps Storm and Greenie?) wanted nothing to do with the corruption of the wardens but were blackmailed.
-Wardens—due to stress and intrusive thoughts—gradually succumb to the peer pressure and assist in the greater plot.
-Others like Lucas (and perhaps Chase? with Samantha/Ian becoming evil to protect Chase/Lucas?) try to resist, only to face consequences.
-We finally get to use that scene where Gale nearly murders Samantha :ooo

Sillies: Darkshades were planning to take over, saw that the Wardens were already evil, joined in and brought popcorn.

Κρυστάλλινος Χρόνος[]

DIA> RotW but we repeat TCQ with the next gen cast

Driving factor in TCQ was the clock so...Raiden kidnapping time! Just the kids trying to get Raiden back from the Bonfire Colony (this time) while the adults frantically search for the kids (as a side quest).

Other: Maybe sneak in some mentions of the first time Greenie time-traveled with the Trainees? For the sake of Nostalgia as the Warden gang share their own memories.

AR - The Sect[]

DIA> RotW but everybody turns into a voidwalker and joins the sect, which confuses and overwhelms the Darkshades

Perhaps a more casual roleplay exploring what the void sect is like? Or perhaps we can go a darker route where the Darkshades tricked the OG Warden gang into believing they'll die if they leave (after being forced to become voidwalkers) and later get retrieved by the Trainees (only to have to deal with VERY edgy teens).

AR - The Rise of the Worn[]

Small parallel to ROTW

PRL> Rotw but everyone is a god

Plot: A few centuries after the gang dies off Storm/Gale/Glace run into a problem even they can't handle and turn to the elementals, leading to the OG gang being revived in their prime and being granted the powers of aeons, with a catch of course: If they don't fix things within a time limit, they'd be cursed to an immortality similar to Hilda's and their (+ Gale/Storm/Glace's) abilities are revoked, leaving them completely magicless. Yet if they succeed...they have a choice to return to the lotus realm...or become aeons, permanently.

AR - My Dear Children...[]

δ> ROTW but Glace was raised by Shadow

ROTW BUT SHADOW RAISED ALL OF NEXT GEN

Plot: After failing to take over the island, Shadow kidnapped the children, raising them (and Void) as her own. Eventually she informs them of their real parents and return them to adults, but at this point they have a built up loyalty to her, and instructions to gain Wardenship at any cost...

A yellow-eyed fey stared at the couple, skillfully drawing out a thread of karma to read its contents. It was something that she got plenty of practice with Mother, and today it would finally come of use, alerting her of anything she should be wary of during this assignment.

This karma…

Her pupils began to narrow, but she was careful to look at the floor and disguising it with a small respectful bow, which her brother mimicked to cover for her.

What about it?

Before they arrived here, they had all set up a link with the ginger haired male, allowing them all to communicate without saying a word. The only downside was that they had to watch what they thought a little more often.

Our…”dad”…he's…

He can't be worse than mine.

A brown-haired girl inspected a blonde, careful to rock back and forth to appear shy. She really wasn't, just didn't care to talk to the man who claimed to be her parent—but according to Mother, he was really only a guardian as her original parents had orphaned her. The man in question had the demeanor of an angel child—apologizing for how she was ‘kidnapped,’ saying how glad he was to have her back and how much he missed her, rambling about how happy she was going to be with her grandparents. The blonde acted as if they never had to work for things their entire life, their air of authority and wealth being detectable even behind his smile.

Why did I have to be paired with the rich idiot?

Because he adopted you.

A “blind” archer had to hide his smirk as he listened to his “dad's” apologies for why his and his sister's “mom” didn't show up. Mother had managed to grant him sight, albeit he was color blind, but he and Opal agreed to let their parents think he was fully blind.

And. It. Was. Infuriating.

Throughout the entire apology their “dad” kept trying to baby him, apologizing for forgetting he was blind and insisting on directing his every move.

This bastard thinks I can't smell the alcohol on his breath.

Well, Robin, how about you and Aurora complain later and listen to Gla—

I doubt Jade is ever going to talk to us, Drunk-athius is mentioning that dear old mom is terrified of Shadow.

Opal—

You think you have it bad? My dad is apparently dead.

I beg your pardon, dear?

The “borg” pretended to be sympathetic as she sat in the Storm Warden's office, listening to a beast master drone on. It was taking every fiber of her being not to just leave already—she had already gotten the short end of the stick by being assigned a Trainee, and now he's dead?

The old geezer apparently offed himself after you took me in. Guess he didn't have it in him to be a parent.

Well that's…a setback. I do apologize, Raiden. If you wish you can return—

Wait, the Warden's saying he's willing to foster me.

I'm taking that as you're staying?

Well if he's stupid enough to take me in…might as well.

MOTHER, WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US THE KEEPER HAD ELEMENTAL BALANCE?

Oh…him. I honestly forgot about him—I'm surprised he's sustained himself for this long. Apologies, Glace, and please calm—

Mother, there's another warden here.

A red-haired boy observed a fey in the distance as his parents fussed over the youngest, who was quite adept at handling the attention. The fey was a ginger like Rai—except with a dark purple streak in their hair, and they looked quite…nervous, watching the sibling trio with a trace of suspicion.

And he seems to be tied to your element, Mother, the redhead’s sister added, the girl being careful not to stare directly.

Ah, the Shadow Warden…he's an irregular one. Perhaps you'd like to take on the challenge, Nathan?

I'll do my best.

My children, I know this is all overwhelming and new to you, but if you ever become discomforted you are free to reach out to me, and I will be here for you.

It'll be best if I don't directly speak to you for a while so you can adjust, but do not worry, I'll remember my promise and respond when called.

Come home safe, and good luck.

I love you all.

Fanfiction[]

Puppet Master[]

This one's built ground up from the "Gale = Puppet Master" theory.

Unaging, forgotten, and brooding. Those three words describe an enemy as old as time, forgotten until the Order rises again and again...

He returns, his true form being lost to time... no one would recognize him. The plan was perfect, infiltrating the Academy as a "mere child", then attacking when they least expected it. The way he could shift his voice, the way he would take on his infamous form of a shadow... but he failed to account for one thing - love.

He never expected the wardens to pity him, nor try to form a friendship with him. He never expected them to name him, nor give him a place in the Academy.

So when he put his plan into motion, he began to wonder...

"Am I really doing the right thing?"

AR - Lost Balance[]

AR where Austen never "died" and took in Gale (after divorcing with a certain sod), later marrying Hilda and encouraging (and helping) her to keep Jade, Hunter, and Juniper.
Key notes:
*Gale dies around the age 14 scarring Hunter for life (and resulting in him freaking over Jade and having to come to terms with it)
*No childhood abuse but Gale does take on the habit of wearing an iron bracelet to keep Shadow from having him... mess with Jade, Juniper, and Hunter.
*Elementals take a physical form sooner due to Gale dying which means Shadow gets to have some fun.
*Gale's ghost watches over his siblings but suffers in the fact they can't see him. The elements, on the other hand, can but for some reason refuse to help.

AR - Fates Reversed[]

AR where Hunter is Prodigy instead of Jade, leading to him unintentionally abandoning Jade and allowing her to fall to a fate similar to Gale's (in other words, hating beyond belief because everyone betrayed her and will only continue to do so).
Key notes:
*Gale/Jade relationship reduced from unreasonable enemies to unreasonable rivals
*MORE HUNTER TORTURE
*Gale speaks to Hunter more often, but only because Astral forces him too. The event where he injured Hunter as a toddler still occurred in this reality, allowing Astral to use it as blackmail. Because of all this, Gale's unsure of how he feels about Hunter, since he got to know him but at the same time, he brings the gray fey suffering.
*Shadow possessions occur more often - an iron bracelet is considered on multiple occasions
*Kaminari dies

AR - Born Again[]

A fanfiction set centuries after Jade's death, when Jade, Hunter, and Juniper decide to reincarnate. Gale, still having not quite let go of his mistakes decides to do likewise (hoping he'll be able to make up for the past), but history only repeats itself.

Concepts:
*Noren (Gale) is adopted by a human, who eventually marries an Earth Fey. His adoptive father dies while his adoptive mother is pregnant with Juniper, and his adoptive mother also dies not long after Juniper's born. (This later causes him to at some point use Juniper as a scrape goat, starting the schism between him and his siblings.)
*They, to avoid being taken into an orphanage (and possibly separated), go to the cabin where Noren used to live with his birth mother. They manage for quite some time, especially since Noren and Hunter have been sneaking into their old house and taking supplies.
*Their self-robbery is noticed by authority, and they eventually start having to support themselves.
*Increased pressure due to their situation causes frequent arguments between Noren and Hunter, eventually escalating to the point where Hunter tells Noren that "You're not even our real sibling! Why should we listen to you? In fact, why do you even care?"
*Noren leaves, notably guilt-tripping Hunter before doing so.
*Hunter becomes solely responsible for Juniper and Jade, notably coping with the stress by blaming Noren and being angry with everyone but his sisters.
*Noren resorts to being a pickpocket, bumping into Storm's reincarnation (Sacramouche, definitely not his legal name, shortened to Sac/Mo) by chance. They wind up becoming good friends, despite their differences. (Exact opposite of their first lives, lmao)
*Hunter takes on a job at relatively young age, taking a more honest route then Noren.
*When Noren and Hunter finally bump into each other again, Sacramouche (introducing himself to Hunter as Mo) serves as the mediator.
*Sacramouche and Noren eventually save up enough to attend at the Academy, but Noren doubts if it'll be wise to attend. They eventually decide to attend for a single year, quitting if anything happens or if they don't become a trainee (as that's the only way for them to continue to attend with the amount of money they have).
*Sacramouche qualifies to be a trainee, but Noren loses to Lumi (Aly's reincarnation) in the deciding spar, leading to him quitting.
*Sacramouche declines the offer to be a trainee and also quits, deciding that friends matter more then proving himself. It's about mid-winter when Noren and Sacramouche quit, so Sacramouche inquires if they should ask Hunter for help, but Noren's stubborn and refuses.
*Hunter, meanwhile, has managed to support Jade and Juniper, but struggles with his job and is on the brink of being fired.

AR - Homunculus[]

AR where Gale was an artificial being made by the elements, rather than an actual person. YesIbasedhimoffAlbedo&Scaramouche.

Key Notes:
*He has trouble understanding feelings as most of his feelings were actually the elementals', leading to him having trouble interacting with others once he loses elemental balance. This also causes him to be criticized for not expressing how he feels about certain things, but the reality is that he doesn't understand the few emotions he has.
*He doesn't die after losing elemental balance, simply enters a coma.
*He has no heartbeat as he has no heart. Hunter uses this fact to insult him once finding out.
*It's not possible for him to die, but he can be damaged, leading to a death-like state.
*It's not possible for him to become a voidwalker, but he can host void the same way he did in the canon.
*When the original wardens first found out about him, their first response was to destroy him (as they assumed he was a puppet like pippet), but settled for keeping an eye on him upon finding out he was just a kid.
*He never hurt Hunter as he never developed any attachment towards Hilda, leading to him not developing jealously towards the Landcrafters. He does hurt Jade on multiple occasions, however, courtesy of Shadow.
*He doesn't see anything wrong with his actions as he's just doing what he was made to do - following the elemental's orders, no matter what. When people try to explain morals to him, he doesn't really understand the purpose of them.
*Although he doesn't have an attachment for Hilda, he does feel nice around her. At least when she didn't hate him.
*He's incapable of seeing ghosts.
*Hilda finds him cute, but is uncomfortable about his artificial nature.
*Instead of Gale, Austen has a child name Khoy (pronounced Koi).
*Rai/Glace/Peregrine/Ashley all exist, but bear a few puppet-like traits. They're also younger then the rest of 2nd gen as Gale took longer to realize that Aly liked him.
*If he reaches a "damaged" state that causes him to enter a coma and is not repaired by either the elementals or someone else, he'll remain in that coma for eternity, rendering him "dead."

Things to figure out:
*Does he have a soul at all...? If not, he doesn't ghost while damaged.
*If he doesn't have a soul, would it be possible for him to develop one?
*Would the elementals be his parents or simply his creators?
*Does he need to eat/sleep or does EB sustain him? If EB sustains him, he going to be hunger fatigued/sleep deprived once losing it. If he doesn't need to eat at all, it'll make things awkward.
*Does he even need to breathe? I'm assuming he needs to in order to talk but does he need to do it to live?
*Does medicine work on him or is it impossible to heal him via "normal" methods?
*What level of magic does he have once losing EB? Would it be elemental-level magic, warden-level magic, normal-level magic, or simply enough to keep him alive?

Will most likely repurpose as Alge's backstory.

Lush green foliage waved gently in the wind, coating Harmony Island. Vines hung from branches of mangroves, flowers blooming as the plant's tendrils gently brushed the water, ripples spreading against the clear surface.

Tasmanian tigers played in the shade, a loving mother tolerating her cub's rough play. A few stone rabbits hopped about before diving into their burrows, and bats were sound asleep in their nearby caves.

Yet within the peacefulness, the elementals stirred, their energy drifting past the leaves, over the water, and finally into a clearing, where the small, frail body of a fey lay. They appeared to be a young boy, curled in a ball with ashen white hair spread below him. His skin was a deep charcoal, a solar gold tail wrapped about his body, and he had pointed ears. His feet were strangely shaped, his white wings were oversized, and he had a rather cat-like spine - but other than that, he seemed to be a typical fey.

Except for the fact he wasn't moving.

He didn't breathe, didn't stir - there wasn't even a heartbeat to reassure one that the boy was alive. He didn't even look as if he was ever alive, rigid as stone.

But the elemental energy slowly made its way to the boy, gently touching the left side of his chest, where his heart would be. The instant the energy touched the body, an enneagram formed, each point being a different color. Red, blue, yellow, gold, silver, black, green, and purple spiraling with white twisted into the nine-pointed star, spiraling down his arm all the way to his fingertips.

Finally, the boy stirred.

He pulled his knees in, curling into an even tighter ball, and let out a weak mewl. He was cold, very cold, and so little...

He looked only to be maybe four years old, but acted as if he was but a newborn babe.

Perhaps he was, in a way.

The boy mewled again, calling for a mother, a father, anyone.

But no one was there.

He mewled one last time before finally giving up, hugging himself ever so tightly.

No one was going to come for him.

No one came for a homunculus.

Misc[]

AR - Sapnic War[]

AR where Storm was captured by the wizard army instead of Chase, leading to the wizards winning and leaving him in guilt.
Key notes:
*The Lady forces Storm to help her, later letting him free while the wardens (and associates) are imprisoned for life, leading to them thinking he did it willingly.
*COMPLETE AND ABSOLUTE TYRANNY
*Faen War III
*Possible debate on whether or not Faith and Connor die

Additional Info:
Storm's brace is broken during an skirmish with the wizard side, preventing him from rifting out -> uses void -> becomes target -> kidnapping of him, Faith, and Connor -> Faith and Connor are used to manipulate Storm

Repurpose in Faen War III.

AR - Pointless Love[]

DIA> RotW but one of the characters starts crushing on an entity

Entities.

Beings that rival the power of the gods themselves, casting their influence on this mortal realm. Their form can be stable or instable, ethereal or hellish. They can rewrite the world with a few flicks of their hands, and create infinite timelines with mere thoughts. They have no reason to dwell on the lives of beings like us, us who they've left to suffer and perish when they can so easily save us.

I should hate them with every fiber of my being, erase them with the console—a device of their creation—and take things into my own hands.

So why is it that...now that I've gotten my hands on that brat's passcode...that I can't bear to do it?

Why is it that...I desire to meet them?

Why do I...

Why do I...

"WHY CAN'T I STOP THINKING ABOUT YOU?"

AR - Wings of a Demon[]

[Warning: Stupid Idea]

Okay does anyone remember that sketch of Gale where he looks like Shadow? This AR is based on that combined with an alternate timeline where The Faen War never happened and the Celestial Kingdoms didn't fall apart...however they're incredible paranoid of the human civilization.

Austen:
*Yes, he's king of the Astral Kingdom
*His existence infuriates the other rulers as he's immortal and it's near-impossible for them to get rid of him if they decide they don't like him anymore
**In the one case they actually managed to make him "disappear," they failed to kill him and settled for imprisoning him...for life...while he was f**king 10
***He was traumatized due to how they treated him, leads to him being paranoid after Gale's born because he's afraid the same thing will hapen to him
***Kingdom was obvs in chaos because Luce's side of the family was in charge and they have zero experience

Hilda:
*Hilda marries Austen (2nd wife, first died)
*She's incredibly toxic towards Gale due to being afraid of him hurting Jade/Juniper/Hunter

Gale:
*Your local cryptic
*Technically crowned prince of the Astral Kingdom but no one really cares (bc Austen) or knows he exists
*Views Shadow as his mother and quite likes his appearance, but won't admit it
*Is sick and tired of the Icetalons - exception is Aly who fails as an exorcist and mostly just hangs out when it's her turn to have a session with him
*As implied above, he has regular sessions with an exorcist - they always fail to "cure" him tho

Da Hoomans:
*tba

AR - Hireath 2.0[]

AR where Gale is younger than Hunter instead of older. Austen dies later (failing to get Hunter/Jade out of their situation), Gale was never named by the elementals and is somewhat mute (leading to people calling him Grey), Florian is relatively worse...

Hunter:
*Follows ROTW timeline but with a few differences
*Incredibly wary of Gale
*tba

Jade:
*Doesn't follow the ROTW timeline at all
*If she goes insane, it'll probably take way longer
*tba

Gale:
*He was literally 3 when he showed up at the Academy, being about two years younger than Hunter
*Originally in Hilda's care due to how close she was with Austen...later dumps him into Florian's care claiming he'll do "a better job" since they're both fey
*Doesn't directly harm Hunter like he did in the canon timeline, but some of his actions led to the two of them being more heavily abused
*✨Wild Child✨ - Due to being a Feral, Florian treated him like an animal...leading to him acting like one. He behaves very similar to a cat and relies on hissing/growling/purring/body language to communicate.
*He's mute. It's not that he's incapable of speech, it's that he's afraid to speak. Due to not speaking often, when he does talk, it's very difficult for him and he can barely get his words out.
*Wears an iron band that he can't take off. The clasp was welded shut, and the only way to take it off is to cut it.
*He stayed under Florian's Bureau because that was the smallest space in the office. He's incredibly territorial of it, having actually slapped Florian when he was trying to retrieve his stuff from the Bureau. As for Florian's reaction...let's say Gale didn't go out for a while after that.
*He's also, notably, hypersensitive to noise and smell. Due to only going out when it's dark, he had to rely on his other senses to get around, leading to him having rather strong reactions to certain noises/scents.
*The only times he was allowed out of Florian's office was to deal with the Earth Tower's rodent problem.

Florian:
*tba

Hilda:
*She's much abusive then she was in the ROTW timeline, as due to Austen "dying" later, Florian lived longer than in the og timeline (as Shadow was aware of something being off about Austen and deemed it unwise to attack the Academy until he was gone)
*tba

An Assassin's Creed[]

Remember how Gale was assigned a therapist when imprisoned? Well, I doubt the actually got any trauma out of him, but I do think they did manage to find out exactly what his *real* crimes were.

Entry #GS01[]

"I'm not talking about my family."

[...]

"It's none of your business, regardless of what you're here to do."

[...]

"That's...are you sure you want to know about that?"

[...]

"It's just...I know you. Your family..." *the client shakes his head* "They've done some things."

[...]

"Very well; Reina Stormwave, age 51, forensic scientist, worked for the Bonfire Institute, susceptible to seizures—neurotoxins are dangerously effective against her. Cause of death? A singular chocolate injected with 6ml of eel blood, only 1ml over what the human body can handle. Jesuit Stormwave, age 20, bounty hunter, reports to Bordy, no notable physical conditions. Cause of death? Shadow magic slowly degrading the organs, ultimately leading to multiple organ failures. Howard Stormwave, age 32, teacher, member of the Academy Staff—"

[...]

"How do I know all this? As someone with a psychological degree, I expected more of you."

[...]

"I did. Would you like to take a guess why?"

[...]

"No, I wasn't hired to kill them specifically. Think, what do they all have in-common, aside from family bonds?"

[...]

"I didn't expect you to know. The answer is simple: They all threatened or actively attempted malicious acts against a Warden, Trainee, or student."

[...]

"I believe you just discovered the real job of the Academy Keeper."

*end of entry #GS01*

This man...I do not believe he should imprisoned for only five years.

He should've received a life sentence.

But why didn't he?

Entry #GS02[]

"You want to know my professions?"

[...]

"Well, I suppose it's better than you asking me about my childhood."

[...]

"I technically studied Alchemy in my final years as an Academy student, but as you know, I worked as Academy Keeper. This required...some training in manifestation arts and...weaponry."

[...]

"My preferred weapon is a great sword. I know, I know, it's not what you expected post our last session, but I do prefer the feel of a claymore. It has...a comforting presence."

[...]

"The manifestation arts mostly trained me in how to manipulate the Academy's existence and levitation. Along with how to navigate it regardless of how...ever-changing it is."

[...]

"The alchemy...I am a licensed alchemist, and I have never conducted illegal experiments per say, but..."

[...]

"I...have created some...things that are technically illegal to own, but I never owned them long enough for them to matter."

[...]

"Homunculi? The last time I checked they're perfectly legal—"

[...]

"Yes, I have made a few but I taken care to ensure they'll have minimal consciousness and survivability. You needn't worry about them running around."

[...]

"Now where was I...Ah, yes, I graduated the Academy with a doctor's degree, and unlike most alchemists I had no interest in gold or alchemical fires, albeit I knew how to do both. Instead I was more interested in alchemy's affect on life."

[...]

"No, there was no inhumane or illegal experimenting, I remained within the range of the law. There was, however, study of curses and—I'm sure you know where I'm going with this—poisons."

[...]

"Yes, when I said I didn't own them for long, I meant that I used them. You are correct."

[...]

"That's alright, it's not as if we're discussing this for therapeutic reasons."

[...]

"Goodbye, Ms. Alaina Ane Stormwave."

*end entry #GS02*

How...does he know my name?

I can't but help but feel as if I'm better off not knowing.
