When making an OC, it's almost tempting to grant them the ability to use Shadow Magic. If you must do so, here's what to do and what not to.

Fairies[]

Dark Fairies[]

Dark Fairies, fairies that were affected by Shadow Magic while unborn (as well as developing an immunity to it), are immune to corruption. On the contrary, the have a corrupted form, but are fully conscious of their actions. If you somehow got permission from Delta to make a Dark Fairy OC then:

DO[]

  • Allow them to use Shadow Magic without showing any sign of corruption. However, you may show signs of headaches, fatigue, etc since they're in a constant battle to keep the shadow within under control.

DON'T[]

  • Make them evil. They are fully conscious of their actions and aren't prone to corruption, meaning the shadow within is unable to make them do anything "bad". Making a Dark Fairy antagonist is NOT supported by Delta and they prefers if you avoid it all costs.
  • Make them enter corrupted form easily. It's actually quite difficult to trigger the transformation.
    • Exceptions to this is if the said character has high anxiety, trust issues, or generally any mentality that makes them feel more unsafe than the average person.

Other Fairies[]

For other fairies, they're prone to corruption just like a wizard, so....

DO[]

  • Make them "evil". The shadow is in control, meaning it's host (the unfortunate fairy who was corrupted) is semi-conscious of their actions, but unable to stop themselves from doing the wrong thing.
  • Have a mental struggle between the shadow and the host. Cause random moment of them showing their true personality, then immediately becoming cold-hearted as the shadow inside them.

DON'T[]

  • Make them "immune" to Shadow Magic. ONLY Dark Fairies are able to avoid corruption.
  • Make them nice. They have ZERO control over their actions.
  • Give them Astral Spells. They are unable to use them as of being corrupted.

Wizards[]

As for wizards, they're prone to corruption.

DO[]

  • Make them "evil". The shadow is in control, meaning it's host (the unfortunate wizard who was corrupted) is semi-conscious of their actions, but unable to stop themselves from doing the wrong thing.
  • Have a mental struggle between the shadow and the host. Cause random moment of them showing their true personality, then immediately becoming cold-hearted as the shadow inside them.

DON'T[]

  • Make them "immune" to Shadow Magic. Wizards would start experiencing corruption instantly.
  • Make them nice. They have ZERO control over their actions.
  • Give them Astral Spells. They are unable to use them as of being corrupted.

Other Creatures[]

Follow the Do's & Don'ts for Wizards, it's pretty much the same.
