— The Faen Wind, Edur meets Walter
|
Walter Oceanfall is a character who appears in The Faen Wind.
Appearance[]
Walter is a young boy with heterochromia, his left eye being green while the other is blue. His hair is an odd shade of blue with green highlights. His skin is beginning to pick up a tan from frequenting the farm, and he - from the other noble's perspective - has an odd taste in clothing. While he does wear the clothing intended for a noble boy, he has a fascination for female attire, sometimes wearing dresses and jewelry.
Personality[]
He's an empathetic individual who despises seeing others being hurt. Due to this, he's often throwing himself into difficult situations, especially with his father.
He cares little for what the other nobles think of him, wearing clothing that they deem "inappropriate" for a male, along with regularly spending time with his father's slaves. He's also a tad rebellious, gladly acting against his father on multiple occasions.
Weapons/Gear[]
Ocean Song: Made of similar components to the Prismatic Wand, it reflects light, but air bubbles trapped inside the forming crystal remind one of foaming waters. The crystal was cut in a long, thin blade, a patterning of waves lightly engraved into the blade - almost too beautiful to be used in combat, but the Fairy Silver handhold contains only despair.

Trivia[]
- He discovered he was a changeling while helping Thomas in the barn, having been burned when touching an iron bit.
- Thomas suspects he's some sort of water nymph, but until they figure out how to revert him to his actual appearance, there's no way to confirm it.
- His mother convinced his father that his odd traits were a blessing from the epic Chill & Char, to prevent George from being too suspicious, leading Thomas to suspect his mother was also a changeling.
- During that time period, those who were on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum were pressured to fit into the norm, especially if they had child-bearing duties (in other words, nobles). This is why his feminine tastes and behavior are looked down on.
- He's also bisexual, having a crush on Edur at some point, but not quite understanding his feelings toward the Ice Fey.
